Eating sounds are no longer played when feeding animals

Mobs no longer play the player eat sound when fed breeding materials.

Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.

Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.

Why would they remove the sound from that? It makes no sense at all.

"Working as intended". Why? What's the point?
