"Smithing with style" achievement not working properly

After applying all 8 armor trims which are needed for the "Smithing with style" achievement to unlock, the achievement will not pop up and gets stuck at 6 out of 8 in the progress (achievement tab).

I can confirm this issue

It seems like using other armor trims will unlock the achievement, but not the 8 mentioned in the achievement description.

The issue resolved for me after applying Host and Raiser.

This happens to me too

Applying every single one worked for me

I'm still stuck with 2 of 8 smithing templates applied on 1.20.12 Windows 10 single player. Part of the problem is the achievement doesn't state which 2 it has recognized, so I keep wasting diamonds reapplying the 5 templates I have found across multiple worlds in an attempt to get it to move again. In the beginning it wasn't applying any progress at all (0 of 8) even though 3 templates were used. Then one day on one world it jumped to 2 of 8 and hasn't moved since.

My progress bar updated with all the trims listed in the achievement description except for Spire. At this point, I have applied all of the available trims at least once, but my progress bar is stuck at 88%. After scanning through sites like Reddit, it seems that no one can agree what trims actually count towards the achievement.

The achievement is also not working for me. I am playing on Xbox (bedrock edition) and I have tried applying every single template more than once. Still says I'm at 7/8 and 87% complete even though I've done them all :/

Anyone on switch I'm stuck on 7/8 even though I used and put on all trims and it didn't pop. Update: i just started crafting the trims with diamond armor and the achievement popped for me.

I found a workaround for this bug! I have been stuck at 88% for a while and was scrolling YouTube for possible solutions. I found this video Smithing With Style (NEW METHOD!) - Ultimate Achievement Guide and saw a comment from user BlockyHead21. He suggested using the same material armor (ie, trimming a golden chestplate every time). I tried this by applying the wild, coast, dune, and vex trims to a pair of iron boots, and the achievement popped! So try using each trim on an identical piece of armor every time. Or, if you get all the trims in the same world, just run the same piece of armor through the smithing table for each trim. If any of you try this, let me know if works for you! Again, a big shoutout to YouTuber blocky for his video and to BlockyHead21 for his comment!
