I have been having an issue lately where sometimes when I log in to play Minecraft, I will get the popup saying I logged in, and my skin may change to reflect it, but my gamertag will not show up, and instead stays what I set it to for offline play. When playing in a single player world, my username shows the offline name rather than my gamertag in both the player list and in chat. I can still join featured servers which means I am logged in. But when I look at the player list, I see my offline name in the list; though if I chat, my gamertag name is displayed in the chat in servers. When I log out through the Xbox app, and then relog back in through Minecraft, it will log in correctly showing my proper gamertag.
Steps to Reproduce:
Step 1: Open Minecraft
Step 2: Sign in
Observed Results:
Sometimes name does not change to gamertag
Expected Results:
Name should always change to gamertag

It's possible it's that one, but I'm unsure. The name shown above in the pictures is not the name of the skin, it's the offline name (before sign in, when going to: Settings, Account, Name). The name of the skin is Cats #4. However, yesterday I installed and tried Preview and found the skin name, Cats 4, above my character instead, which does sound like that issue. Relogging or just clicking 'sign in' again corrected it. I'll have to leave it to the staff here to decide if it's MCPE-173209.
Is your offline name the same one that is displayed above your skin? Would MCPE-173209 describe your issue?
