Bedrock Paperdoll Cape Animation

Hello, this animation affects the cape on the paperdoll when the player is moving. The cape is rather buggy, at times standing almost perfectly still, or bending into the player when the player is moving. If possible, reverting the animation of the cape on the paperdoll to how it was on earlier versions (1.20.0 for example) would be great.

Steps to recreate this bug:

  • Open 1.20.12 version Minecraft Bedrock Edition

  • Equip cape on player and toggle paperdoll on

  • Load into a world or server

  • Move player while looking at paperdoll

I uploaded a video of the bug occurring. I enlarged the paperdoll with a client so it is more visible.

I noticed something similar to this, the cape on the paper doll will only move properly if you are moving in the direction that you were when the paper doll first appeared

How to reproduce:

Stand still for a few seconds so that the paper doll disappears

Start sprinting in any direction

Make a 90 degree turn while continuing to sprint

Result:

The cape on the paper doll will fall down as if you stopped walking

 Expected Result:

The Cape on the paper doll stays lifted up since your still sprinting

It seems like the paper doll only updates to the direction you’re facing after it appears and not when you change direction

From my testing, the capes on the paperdoll move properly when the player is facing South West, South, South East, and East, but didn't when the player facing North East, North, North West, and West

Can confirm, affects 1.20.51. This does indeed appear to be contingent on which direction the player is facing.
