Can't place blocks on interactable blocks when flying down on mobile

When I place blocks on containers while flying down, it opens the container instead of placing the block. This was fixed as of 1.20.30, but it came back in 1.20.40.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go in creative

2. Fly down and place block on container

Expected Result:

It places block on container

Actual Result:
It opens container instead
