When powering a piston(using a redstone torch in my case), the redstone torch on top of the piston will turn off. Let me explain why this is a bug (in case someone thinks that it is not): Firstly, pistons are non-solid blocks, so there are no reasons of the RS torch turn off. Secondly(a complicated version), even the piston is activated(powered through blocks), the RS torch should not appear unpowered even the piston is a solid block as the piston is only activated, not powered. See the photo below to find out the difference between powered and activated. Thanks for the photo from minecraft wiki.

I can see that the redstone torch on top should not turn off

Affects current update still. Very very useful mechanic, would love to know if this is a full on bug, a buggy feature, or fully intended behavior.
This is basically the bedrock version of quasi connectivity, and just like quasi, breaks nothing and allows for so many more contraptions to be much smaller, more functional, and simply put nice and clean.

Still affects all updates until 1.11.4

I hope they would not fix this. This is so useful!

A lot of the redstoners in bedrock use this bug to make our contraptions smaller, as @silentwisperer said it does not break anything in the game and just allows users to make better contraptions in the game
Also if you think it does not look as it worked as intended read this
Pistons are a redstone component which contains redstone dust inside it
So when the piston gets powered its insides are softpowered, and as some of the signal is used to energize the piston it remains only a little strenght (consider inside of piston always receives 1 of strenght, and uses 0.9 to power itselft and has remainng 0.1) which cannot power a dust or a repeater as they need at least 1 strenght signal, but enought to power a redstone torch as it with any strength can be powered.
Hope you think this properly, even that my attempt of explaining this is not the best, a lot of people would be concerned if this is removed and in case is marked as Work As Intended would make users happy and they will stop having that scare of something that is really usefull and does not break the game will be removed.

This report should be marked as 'worked as intended'. This bug (which is basically a feature) used a lot in contraptions as a nice technique to make system much more compact.
There are so many other bugs that should be fixed (link for the list below), and I hope this bug will become an official unique feature for Bedrock Edition.
