After player is being killed by multiple ender crystals a death message will be shown. If player waits for a some time before respawning, player will be moved quickly after respawning causing new death (by falling from a high place). After I closed the world and reopened it I found that i fell from the world.
Steps to reproduce:
Load the attached world
Switch to survival/adventure mode and go to the towards the exploding crystals and die
Respawn
Observed result:
You are knocked back upon respawning.
Expected result:
You are not knocked back upon respawning.

Can confirm, affects 1.20.71.
To reproduce this properly, just make sure you're standing on the bedrock platform when you die in the world I've attached.
