The momentum and motion of a entity will not be reset when a player mounts it

Summary:
Through Minecraft challenge videos, I had noticed a certain difference in resources between the Java and Bedrock editions. In Java Edition, players can slowly fall with the boat, just by getting out and back from it, which is not possible in Bedrock Edition.

Despite being a small resource, some people may miss it, especially the challenge community, which tends to use the item a lot, either to fall with the boat over greater distances, or to fall slowly and trick other players.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Build a tall pillar going upwards (~20 or so blocks, not exact)

  2. Place a boat down on top of the pillar, and mount it

  3. Mount the boat and ride it off the pillar

  4. Quickly dismount the boat, and then immediately mount it again.

Observed Results:
The boat will maintain the same speed during the fall, therefore, the player will not have as much control as in Java Edition, having a greater chance of falling and being defeated.

Expected Results:
Just like in Java Edition, the boat should have its fall slowed for a brief moment.

Can confirm in 1.21.2.

Steps to reproduce (from MC-174877):

  1. Build a tall pillar going upwards (~20 or so blocks, not exact)

  2. Place a boat down on top of the pillar, and mount it

  3. Mount the boat and ride it off the pillar

  4. Quickly dismount the boat, and then immediately mount it again. Notice that unlike Java Edition the boat doesn't stop when the player mounts/dismounts it.
