Minecraft causing the Xbox series S to "overheat"

Let's get straight to the point. Since l2021, during the launch of Minecraft versions 1.17 and 1.18's Caves and Cliffs updates, I've been experiencing a recurring issue with my Xbox Series S. It keeps shutting down and displaying an overheating message upon reboot. Initially, I thought it was a one-time problem and tried reopening the game, but it shut off again as soon as the world loaded, claiming it had overheated once more. I often play split screen with my siblings, and initially, I assumed the issue to that. However, despite changing how we play, the problem persists every time the console "overheats."

If I let the Xbox sit for a while, it runs fine for several hours. Yet, if I use the elytra, travel to the Nether or the End, or move quickly on ice, the Xbox shuts down and "overheats" again. I took a break, hoping updates would fix the bug, but it was never resolved. I've attempted various solutions, such as disabling screen capture, which worked temporarily but then stopped being effective, ensuring the console is always in power saver mode, and managing storage space carefully. After repeated testing, it seems the game crashes whenever too much loads simultaneously. For instance, dying far from the base and respawning can trigger the Xbox to overheat unexpectedly.

This situation is perplexing because newer consoles should handle Minecraft without such issues. I play other demanding games that push the Xbox's limits without overheating problems. However, unless I turn off the console for a while before launching Minecraft, the game reliably causes the Xbox to shut down due to overheating.
