Some users report that the following stopped their console from recurring shut downs:
Reset the console operating system. (See comment for steps, and be careful to fully back up your data.)
Reduce resolution from 4k to 1080p. (reported here and in MCPE-159857)
Load affected worlds on a difference device, play for a while, then load them back on the X Box One X. (reported here)
Been playing for 2 weeks and today my game froze and shut down my whole xbox one x. Tried hard reset and uninstall/reinstall and still crashes whole console. Contacted Microsoft and they told me if other games open to contact mojang support. Here I am.

Same, will run for a random amount of time and then out of the blue will shut down my Xboxonex. I've tried completly uninstalling and reinstalling, with or without texture packs,
Playing on a local world or on a realm. Doesn't matter.
Also for the record my console is well ventilated, plugged straight into the wall. It's bad enough when bad coding causes a game to crash to home...but to hard shut down the whole console is just sad.
I actually found a fix for the issue and played for quite a few hours last night and never once had an issue, Xbox even ran smoother and faster like the day I got it.
There are two things I did last night before loading the game back up.
First is to clear your local saved data for Minecraft and it’ll re-sync when you pull the game back up from the cloud.
1: go to Minecraft in “My Games & apps”
2: press the menu button and select “Manage Game & add-ons”
3: go to “Saved Data”
4: Select “delete all” on both screens. This will clear your local saved data it should be only a few hundred Mbs
The next thing I did was reset you console operating system. It sounds scary but it’s very simple and will keep everything on your console. Only thing you have to do is do the setup process and sign back into your profile.
1: go to settings
2: select system
3: select settings
4: select system
The above part may be out of order but you should be able to figure it out just by that. I’m currently at work making this reply lol
5: select console info
6: select reset console (READ NEXT PART BEFORE CONTINUING!!)
7: the last step will pull up a screen asking you if you want to reset your console. At the bottom are three options. You need to select “reset and keep my games & apps” this option ONLY resets the operating system and erases all potentially corrupted files.
Really hope this helps you guys and anyone else that faces this issue. Feel free to add me on Xbox! “A BoxofCheezits” is my gamer tag. Theres a space after the A in my name. Shoot me a message letting me know how it works out for you it if you’ve got any questions regarding any of the above.
Is this happening in any particular worlds? If so, are you able to provide a copy?
On Windows 10 you can use the Export world feature.
On Android or iOS you need to use a file explorer to navigate to Device storage > games > com.mojang > minecraftWorlds
On Xbox or Switch the only way is to upload it to a Realm, and then download the world on Windows 10 or Android/iOS. (Please do not purchase a Realms subscription just to provide a world to us - but if you have a Realm already this may be a viable option if you wish to do so.)
If the world is larger than 10MB you can upload the world to OneDrive or a similar file sharing site, and then share the link.
Please could you let us know any more information about what is happening when or before the game crashes, to help us try and understand what the problem could be caused by.
Yeah its now February 12th and this issue still occurs on my xbox. And its not just worlds on my xbox it will shut down randomly on realms as well. I don't have a way to upload my realm to here either. all I know is it needs fixed. Reducing all my settings helped but that still will shut down randomly.
Read my comment from January 12. I left instructions for how to fix the issue, worked for me anyway. Please read the entire comment and then follow it step by step. I also lost how to contact me if you have any questions and what not
I tried this fix and every world saved in myaccount refuses to sync and is corrupted. At least they loaded before, even if they did crash. I lost everything on my account. Nothing had synced properly since the update that caused the crashes. Every save is over 4 months old.
Hi, I have the same problem.
There is no way to reproduce the error, just at any moment the game turns off the console, I can play other games for hours and there is no problem, I have an xbox one x and I just bought it in January.
So are they ever going to fix this? Quite sad being a Microsoft studios and can’t fix a bug that affects a Microsoft premium console.
This issue has been forwarded to the developers for investigation and a fix. No dates or timetables can be given.
This seems to happen most often when opening a menu. My Xbox One X is also crashing because of this issue. Two of the crashes within the last hour occurred when:
I opened a furnace to place blocks
I opened the crafting station
I will update as more crashes occur (which I’m sure they will). Please investigate and fix this issue ASAP. People are unable to play your game and I’m not sure how much longer I can abide these crashes before uninstalling and swearing off Minecraft.
Cannot edit correctly on a phone, so here’s another comment. The game also crashed my Xbox when I:
3. Opened a chest then started moving away
Like goldenhelmet said the issue has been forwarded to the developers for investigation 🙂 and for me the crash happens whenever
Well, that theory is out. Apparently it doesn’t have anything to do with opening a menu. New crash:
4. Standing on a beach for ~10 minutes while starting dinner.
5. Placing cobblestone to build a platform in the ocean
Also, I realize that this issue has been forwarded to the developers, but that literally means nothing. Providing extra information on the issue such as what was happening and how often (each time I post) can prove to be valuable. If nothing else, it highlights how often this game implodes for no reason.
So I've sent a bug issue to this page and haven't heard anything from it since, has there been any updates to this as my Xbox One X is currently going through this issue, it's very difficult to play, but my friends are playing this and I don't want to not play with them! The funny thing is that they all don't have Xbox One X's and it hasn't affected them.
MCPE-75134 mentioned that their fan doesn't spin up like it does with other games.
Has anyone else noticed the same?
I am having the same issue with my Xbox One X. Basically the games programing is not triggering the consoles' high powered fan. The system overheats due to lack on instruction from the game and powers down.
That would explain why my xbox gets so hot playing minecraft vs any other game, because when i touched my xbox after trying to play with the recent hotfix it was very hot so i placed one of those ice packs with some type of liquid inside that you keep in the freezer on top of my xbox with a thin cloth around it to cool the xbox while i tried to play but the game still shut down the hole xbox.
I’ve been having this issue for the last 3-4 weeks and by the looks of it my fans aren’t operating as they should when playing minecraft.
Can we maybe get an update on this to see if the developers are actually getting anywhere with fixing this problem because it’s making the game unplayable?
It definitely is unplayable. I am sure they know the exact reason it crashes our systems. We have provided enough info. Clearly the game isn't triggering the console fan and hense overheating and full power down. They had better hurry up before they start owing us a replacement console. I believe another hotfix is on it's way soon.
This issue, including the new information about overheating, has been forwarded to the developers for a fix. No dates or timetables can be given. We do not receive details on the progress toward fixing a bug.

If the Xbox keeps on turning off, then there is a problem with the Xbox. Try cleaning the Minecraft disc and then putting the disc back in into the Xbox.
Or maybe this problem could have something to do with the Xbox red ring of death. If you look on your Xbox and notice the red ring of death is lighting up, then the problem could be with the red ring of death.
I don’t have a disc for minecraft it’s downloaded to the hard drive. As for the red ring of death I assume you’re referring to the Xbox 360 not an Xbox one x.
same here. always happen ever time and totally shut my whole xbox off. love to play this game but not been in there for months never for i cannot play it. hope it will get fix.
my version. 1.14.60
and bees are still stuck on me
I’ve been having this issue. Mine tends to do it after I save out of my game to the main Minecraft menu but don’t turn off the console. When I try to re-enter my game the console shuts down and I get the overheating message when I restart. I did try power cycling the power source for the Xbox One and that seemed to fix it. But now when I log back into my worlds, it’s treating me as a new player: reset to spawn point, only blank map in inventory, XP reset to zero. All of my stuff is still there aside from what I had in my personal inventory before the reset. Because it’s treating me as a new player I have no control over my animals, etc. I didn’t lose much in inventory aside from some amazing armor but still frustrating.
Same issue. Xbox Onex. Game ran flawlessly for the last two months then 2 days ago randomly crashed to desktop when mining sand blocks over a treasure chest. After that, started crashing and completely rebooting the xbox, usually when entering or leaving containers or inventory. Now today, June 1, crashed 3 times and rebooted console randomly after about 1 hour of play time. Have reinstalled multiple times and deleted local saves and re-syched to XB Cloud. Have used cache clearing procedures as well in case hard resets arent working. I am so disappointed because I love this game, I have faith in Mojang 🙂 Please resolve
My husband I are having issues too. The game was working fine for the last week but it started crashing today. 3 hard crashes in less then 2 hours... we tried rebooting the console, unplugging, uninstalling and all but nothing is working...we just started getting back into the game after a few months break...hopefully it will be fixed soon
June 3. Just to update info. Ran on my realm and normal solo surv world this morning for about an hour each and no issues. Saved and re-entered both a couple times. I was feeling positive 🙂
This evening, logged into solo surv world and unfortunately game shut down console within 2 minutes. Restarted and entered realm, same thing less than 2 minutes and console shut down.
Just providing anything I can as far as info to hopefully get this resolved.
Sorry one last thing. Never has this been heat related. My OneX has run cool through all these crashes. I saw that possibility being chased in the thread above and wanted to clarify. Thanks
Important update: I had both "Minecraft" and "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" installed (I recently installed "Minecraft" and left the console edition installed as well).
After much searching I found some info on a possible fix. Found a post wherin the poster claimed that the legacy xbox edition was interfering periodically with the new version (dont know if this is an assumption or a fact)
Sure enough I had briefly run and then uninstalled the console version right before I started having crashes and shut downs regularly.
I did a factory reset of my xbox onex and chose to leave games and apps intact (instructions on how to do this are on the web). You will have re-enter your MS Live credentials. But... I have not had an issue or a crash in two days now.
This fix appears, at this point, to have been successful. So if you have or EVER had the console edition installed and you're experiencing shutdowns and crashes, this solved it for me. Not saying this is the answer for everyone but maybe worth a try.
*Be cautious during factory reset to choose the option to "keep all my games and apps" or you'll be reinstalling everything!!*
Cheers
With the release of the nether update announced for next week I am praying that this bug is sorted. Haven’t heard anything about a fix for this and it was first reported back in October.
Since 1.16 dropped on Xbox I haven’t ran into any crashing issues and I’ve played for around 7 hours so far
Seems my have been fixed to. nothing happen so far. but some new bugs appered. but another case
I have this as well started right at 1.16.2 when I try to open Minecraft it shows me the red Mojang screen and just crashes. I'm hoping this is fixed soon!
Definitely not resolved, I am losing worlds because of the hard crashes. They are marking everyone else as resolved although I just had this happen again about 15 seconds ago.
I can also confirm that Minecraft is causing my Xbox One X to completely shut down and restart.
I have lost 3 worlds to this bug does anyone know how to recover them the last world was the best random seed i have ever seen
Still absolutely not resolved. My Xbox One X is still crashing 2 out of every 3 times I get to Minecraft's loading screen. If I get in game, I have an hour tops before it crashes and risk my world corrupting. I have no problems in any other game, just Minecraft. My friends and I are considering quiting Minecraft because of this. We keep 4 copies of our worlds now because they keep corrupting after hard crashes.
I've been playing minecraft on my Xbox for 3 years and around a month on my One X and me and my girlfriend lost our world about three days ago and then after that until literally right now its also been crashing my xbox and turning it off. I dont understand how this has been an issue for almost a year and it still hasn't been resolved. I literally can't play the game because it crashes while booting up.
I have had this issue for the past 6 months. My xbox continually crashes. The game is unplayable. Having been a minecraft console player for over 10 years, I'm incredibly unhappy that this hasn't been addressed. Even if they posted on their social media accounts that there was an outage, then I would be happy. It seems no one is acknowledging the fault. Just keep getting fobbed off.
It's been months and I still have this problem. The game is nearly unplayable. My friends won't allow me to host games because they're kicked everytime I crash. Please fix your game before adding more to it.
I have been experiencing this issue to
For me it does not happen that much when loading up Minecraft (The Mojang screen), it does happen lots when loading a save and just playing. I usually get 10 mins - 1 hour before a crash and most of the time the save becomes corrupted.
My Xbox One x does not seem to be hotter than usual
There does not appear to be any indicators before the full system shut down, it just happens
Hopefully this issue gets fixed soon
Sad to say but i'm once again having crashing issues, it happens when i boot up minecraft and when i have been playing on my realm for a short time. out of nowhere it just shuts off my xbox one X console.
I started having crashing issues a month or so ago. Shuts down my Xbox One X completely. I can play on my daughters Xbox One with no problems. Very frustrating. I have done all the suggested
"fixes" and nothing works.
Been having the same issue as well recently. Don't know why, it just started doing that a month or two ago. Really frustrating when you want to play the game, yet it crashes your entire console, virtually making the game unplayable.
Still having this problem. It makes the game unplayable. Having a game breaking bug for almost a year is very very unacceptable.... Something needs to be done about this.
Been having this problem for months on my Xbox One X and it is no better than the day it started. Please fix, so sick of this. My wife's old Xbox One model has no problems with this and my Xbox One X runs all other games flawlessly. But Minecraft crashes multiple times a day causing my entire Xbox to hard power off (as if it was unplugged).
Just installed the new update(1.16.100), tried to join my realm, the first time it said to check my internet connection, the second time i tried to join and it hard crashed my one X. Seems that i will never be able to play minecraft ever again
Would love to see some resolution on this soon. Please keep working on this, as we have a large group of people playing together in a Realm. I cannot participate as it keeps shutting down my console. PLEASE HELP!!!!
after the update it still crash. it really suck i cant play a game i buy. 4 months and not fix yet 😞
after 7 hard crash i finally get in my world but now i dont know when it does it again. why is this not been fixed?
others can play on there xbox one s. but not me on my xbox one x and how about the new machine?
41 mins play then crash again. i think we are ment to play
Today's update also did nothing to solve this. I crashed about 5 minutes into being in the world.
Only Xbox One X seems to have this problem, and even some people with the One X don't have this.
It's happened for me every since the Nether update.
Uninstalling, reinstalling, and even removing all local saved data and cache does nothing to help.
Crashing seems to happen randomly. Sometimes the game freezes a few seconds before the system shuts off, other times it just happens instantly with no warning.
Xbox can sometimes crash before I even get to the title screen, other times it may not happen til I play for 30 minutes (a lucky day).
Sometimes my internet will go out for a few minutes following my console crashing. (Very odd)
Console has to fully reboot after a crash every time.
Having the same issue on my Xbox One X. Tried everything and nothing works. I have resorted to playing on other consoles for the time being. The switch loads the game much faster oddly. Idk why other than the type of built in memory.
I don't know if something changed, but today has been the worst day for crashing I've had. I've been rebooting constantly for almost an hour now with about 45 seconds of total time in a loaded world. No exaggeration here either.
I've now ran out of time to play today and the furthest I got was opening my inventory once. I've played Minecraft for about 8 years now but I decided today I'm canceling my Realms and I'm uninstalling Minecraft at least until this is resolved.
I been having this problem as well, once an earlier patch was released after the release of the Nether Update. Loaded into a world, game crashes, hard reboot and all, again and again. The latest patch somehow made it better, letting me be on a world for a few hours (2-3ish) then crash, reboot and so on. This annoys me as I can't play with my friends. Haven't contacted (I keep forgetting), pls fix this issue so we don't risk our consoles keep crashing.
Thanks.
This weekend I have been able to verify that the game does not fail if a friend enters my game, for two days in a row he has joined my game and for more than two hours that we have been playing the console has not been turned off at any time and everything has passed normally. This same weekend, while playing alone, my console turned off 3 times. I comment on it in case it helps you solve this serious problem.
Hurry up please!
I have found that after playing Minecraft a little on the original Xbox One then switching back to the One X it seems to work significantly better with the game doing the crash about once a day rather than once an hour.
I have a very similar issue on the Xbox Series X when loading up a save slot, the console will sometimes will cut off the power. This is not a overheating issue. I tried power cycling my console, resetting the console, and reinstalling the console update, unfortunately the issues still exists. Playing other games doesn't cause the console to cut the power and it seems like during gameplay the power won't cut off also so I'm sure this isn't a issue with my consoles hardware.
Well, I have found a temporary solution. I have changed the resolution of my Xbox One X to 1080p and after trying it for 3 days, I have not had any problems. Definitely the problem is then with 4K resolutions.
I have tested Ayoze Noda Gomez's solution and have came to the same conclusion after changing resolution of my xbox one x to 1080p the game has not crashed at all and runs just fine I don't see any difference in gameplay, However it makes me wonder is it because Minecraft didn't update the game for 4K? Because that seems to be the problem, But this does work if you change your resolution to 1080p the game will not crash.
I am in agreeance with Ayoze Noda Gomez and Elijah Ison. Switching Minecraft to the 1080p resolution fixes this issue. It is kind of disappointing how we have to figure this out for ourselves. I think this might be that 4K throttles Minecraft's graphics engine and causes the Xbox One X to crash. I appreciate everyone's help!
I have the same problem but it does not help to change resolution. Each day when starting the console and loading Minecraft it takes forever to load (15-20 min). When you think the game actually works and the menu is shown the console goes black and restarts. Then after another 15-20 minutes of loading Minecraft it works. Running on Xbox One S.
@Henrik Hargedahl from what you have said it seems you actually have a different problem I don't know how to fix that problem, But it is a different problem everybody else here has our problem on Xbox One X not Xbox One S for one thing
our fix for the problem would not work for you because Xbox One S actually doesn't have true 4K it uploads to 4K for as the Xbox One X has 4K built into the console again I don't know a fix for you but I just wanted to clarify why changing resolution would not work for you.
@Elijah Ison it's me being stupid - I do have the X and not the S of course. But I hooked it up to a non 4K screen so that is a difference in setup.
@Henrik Hargedahl, But have you confirmed that the resolution is 1080p? Since there is also the possibility of 1440p and that may have been placed, depending on your screen.
@Henrik Hargedahl, No problem, I would also try and confirm what resolution you are using, Btw I updated my user name if confused.
Hi @Tothedeath I confirm that we run on 1080p. I don't have the option to select 4K because the screen attached is only 1080 so that is a difference in setup from what you have I think.
@Henrik Hargedahl I will do some testing with a non 4K screen and a 4K screen to see if their is any difference in the affect of changing resolutions for my Xbox One X for Minecraft, Because for me on my 4K screen if I have resolution on 4K Minecraft crashes my Xbox but if I change my resolution to 1080p Minecraft runs without any problems, I will test if the same thing will work on non 4K screen that way if it does work I could confirm that you are having a different kind of problem therefore you would need a different kind of fix, or if it doesn't work for me then I could confirm that we have definitely figured out a new problem that I could try and troubleshoot.
It appears that the crashing problem is tide to multiplayer specifically realms and servers. I thought the problem was fixed earlier on this week. so then I decided to play on the realms and servers a little bit. after about 24 hours the crashing problem started again and I have experienced it all day. I have restarted my council from crashes a total of 20 times and I've tried installing reinstalling the game. it does not work.
It'll either crash on startup or 10 minutes in and this is on an Xbox One X
I wonder if I'll still have the problem if I buy a Xbox series X
just do some testing and it seams like 4K Resolution is the only one that has this issue, even if your offline on your own world it still crashes. In General TV & Display Options I have dropped the Resolution from 4K UHD to 1080p and the game runs fine no crashing. This is the only game I have to do this with.
Hey, my Minecraft folks...I'm adding to this thread for a few reason. First off, I just want to bump the thread, as I've had this issue since Summer of 2020 (approx.) off and on, with mixed chances of if it happens when I'm playing multiplayer connected to a friend's game (hosted on their Xbox One), a Realm we have, a split-screen game on my own Xbox One, or a single-player game (which is the least frequent of the culprits). Looking back, almost all of them may have happened on a 4K TV, so I'll try the 1080p resolution trick and see how things play out!
Secondly, to expand on the issue, I notice a lot of my crashes have been coupled with moments where I interact with my Xbox menu overlay, even if I'm just opening that menu to see the time or some crap. Statistically, if I join an Xbox Live Party before joining a server, I've seen more crashes than if I wait to join a party afterwards. Since 1.16.2, however, I'm even getting some weird chugging from doing that, which sometimes results in a freeze and then the hard crash/reboot. It may be anecdotal evidence, but it bears mentioning.
Third, I'm the only person in our group of 5-7 players that logs in to these various hosts that uses an Xbox One X, as everyone else has either the original model or the Xbox One S, and all are in good working condition and kept up to date on updates.
Lastly, far be it from me to know how something like this really happens in lines of code, hardware/software errors, etc., as this isn't my forte in life...I just enjoy the byproduct of it 🙂. However, this repetitive crashing to a black screen seems vaguely similar to the Fallout 76 and Borderland 3 issues where the Xbox One would turn itself off to protect itself from overheating. I don't know what ended up being the fault on BL3's end (as that's still an ongoing issue when I join co-op games), but with Fallout it apparently was an issue of the game forcing your CPU/GPU to spool up to 100% temporarily when loading assets, even something as simple as your P.I.P.B.O.Y., and it would panic to save itself and shut down. This often was accompanied by an error message after saying basically, "I shut down so as not to damage myself due to overheating," which you would expect a machine to do in other cases of heat danger...but when my Xbox One crashes, it instantly reboots itself ~75% of the time (instead of, you know, staying off to cool down) and has yet to warn me about overheating. So, that would signify that either an overheat isn't being detected, the threshold isn't passed, an error is causing the message/protocol to not initiate, or it's an entirely different sort of SYS_ERROR or similar dump (kind of like a seizure).
I wanted to add my experience to this as I am having the same ongoing issue and hope that this may be helpful. I own an Xbox Series X and a first Gen Xbox One.
For me, the game crashes started to occur when getting nearby my house and only started to occur after I added a massive water-elevator based multi-item sorting system into the basement. We are talking about 3 walls of 42 double chests each. Now, I recently built Silentwisperers's new mob farm design (one spawning side instead of two). This is the other location where the game started to crash. The only link I can see is massive amount of flowing (non-source) water. Initially, I thought the redstone in the storage system may be the culprit, but the mob farm has only minuscule amounts of redstone (some dust, torches a lever, and two trident killers). Nothing worth mentioning. Just to re-emphasize, those crashes seem to be really linked to certain areas and do not appear to be random. Also, my industrial area does not seem to have an issue at all, and has way more redstone than the mob farm.
(For me) The problem only seem to happen right when loading into that specific dimension, as in either during starting up and loading safe at the beginning of a session or coming out of the nether in the middle of gaming. Simply AFK'ing in the initial location of "spawn in" after loading does not seem to help. However, once I loaded in and actually played for some time in the overworld it never crashes. Similar, if I fly into those "danger" zones with my Elytra I have no issues with it crashing. Once I start using Nether transportation I ran into occasional crashes upon hitting those areas.
I noticed that the crashes seem to be described as multiplayer caused. However, I changed my world setting to single player and still see those crashes. They are less frequent but still occur. I also lowered my simulation distance to 4, which seems to have also lowered the frequency, but did not fully fix it.
The problem of the console freezing and then shutting itself off exclusively happens on the Series X. I tried loading up the same save file in the Xbox One after it crashed on me 5x in a row in the same spot with the Series X. The Xbox One loads the world up just fine and I can move around without issues. I used that once to move my character into a different area, saved and closed the game to make the file "usable" again on my Series X.
Last observation are the frequently recorded corruption of save files or parts of the world (for example, my entire industrial area got deleted as the whole area got "reset to its natural stage). I keep frequent back-ups and will not detail this much more.
I can provide a world download and coordinates where the crashes occur if needed for cross checking.
So I finally decided to give this game another chance and I installed it. I saw a previous comment about turning off the 4K resolution and the game wouldn’t crash, and for a while my game didn’t crash until about an hour or so playing and my Xbox turned off. I believe in my case my console (as powerful as it may be) cannot run Minecraft for some reason. I guess the Project Scorpio was a project for a reason lol. To my knowledge I’ve tried everything under the sun to fix whatever is causing this problem to no avail. But I’m certain there’s someone out there smarter than me working on this problem I’ve had for several years now. Perhaps someday I will be inspired to create again, but it is not this day. Hopefully whenever the Caves and Cliffs update drops for consoles they will fix this issue.
2021 and my xbox series S is shutting down beacuse of this game. Ispend a lot money in this game, my xbox skin is a creeper, and this game cant even run it without shutting dow my divice? Im leaving this game today

Series X can confirm. Game runs for a few seconds after loading world then freezes up and the Xbox shuts down. Been a problem for me since the last 3 updates. Now I can’t even play on the xbox one cause the game won’t even open up Mojang flashes on the screen then I’m back to the dashboard. Countless restarts uninstalls hard resets I can’t play the game on Xbox one or series X
yes, see my earlier comment from March 4th, 2021.
Happening exclusively on Xbox One Series X for me. Or was as of March. Have not been playing the game since given the frequency of the issue.
I’m at the point where the mods can put this where it belongs. Xbox series X crashes. Since now 4 updates ago it’s not fixed every hot fix doesn’t work for me. World loads get close to my base freezes and shuts down. I do have a lot of red stone but it’s 80% turned of before I save. .... I can load the world without a single issue on the original Xbox one. Most of the time I get two series x crashes before the world become corrupt . Then I have to switch to my old xbox to make it work. Play for a 20 -30 minutes save clear series x save data: sync from the cloud and the world loads on the series x. I have tiered saving over 100 blocks away I’ve tried uninstalling the game removing saved data on the hard drive. The old original Xbox has a small lag time when entering my base but doesn’t crash where the series x just shuts down. If you need pictures or video any more info I can help. I know I’m not the only one. Just let me know. This is a big issues that need a real fix. 4 updates and not fixed. What’s the point of the caves and cliffs update if I can’t even load a world.
Updating my status as of Caves & Caverns Pt. 1 update for Bedrock edition, Xbox One X console. I'm still having the crash where my system will freeze and then shut off completely, with a 50/50 chance that it starts itself back up immediately. (I haven't been able to tell if the auto-restart is part of the crash error or part of the connected devices, like a wireless controller or a headset, trying to reconnect and forcing the system to turn back on.)
As with before, turning my graphic settings to 1080p instead of 4k UHD has (anecdotally) prevented a crash every time I've tried it since 1.17 released.
Can confirm, I was really hoping that the latest update would fix probably the most concerning bug the game has seeing it prevents players from even playing. I played one game with a friend for like 30 minutes and got off, we mainly wanted to see everything that was added. The next day we get on and he can’t join my world even though our NAT was fine. We eventually were able to connect only for my game to freeze up and crash my console. I don’t know how this can still be a major problem after so long but I seriously recommend Mojang gets in touch with Microsoft or vice versa. Clearly the game and the console aren’t communicating properly. And I turned off 4K settings because I’ve seen people say it works for them, just not for me. All I can say is sometimes I can play Minecraft and sometimes I can’t. It’s really about 15% of the time I start it up that it works. The other 85% has me looking at a black screen after telling the boys that my console is about to crash. Crossing my fingers that the next update will fix this problem for the 6th time.
Same here on series x on a realm, the world loads then freezes and fully shuts the Xbox down, my controller and headset stay on but the Xbox itself is completely shut down. Had the issue for the past two updates, most days it's fine, I've tried lowering the chunk render distance but still not made much difference yet I play the same world on my switch and not once has this happened on switch
Playing on a Series X with a 1.17 world on via dedicated server on my PC. I have just started experiencing the game locking up and the console completely shutting off.
I did revert some chunks around the village I have set up camp in using Amulet because of the 1.17 hotfix but the issue is happening roughly in the middle of chunks that haven't been reset.
since updating to 1.17.2 yesterday on my series x I have lost 2 worlds. Both times I was playing for an hour or so and logged off for a bit. When i loaded up my console and went to load a world the game would freeze and shut down my console. When I power back up my console and try to load the world i get a message saying "there was a problem loading this world".
I really hope this is fixed ASAP.
EDIT: so i found a fix for the corrupt worlds. I plugged back in my one x and loaded up my corrupt world and it worked fine and ran around a bit and saved and quit. i then deleted save data for minecraft in my games and apps and then loaded up the corrupted world on the series x. The world synced and loaded fine.
Crashes related to travelling near a specific part of a world are likely due to build-ups of pending tick data, which may also be corrupted such that the game cannot clear it. That would explain the situation in Matthias Muehle's world. Water spread uses pending ticks, so it is plausible that the problem started when he built the farm with lots of flowing water.
Worlds that crash due to built up/corrupt pending tick data can in some cases be fixed with external tools (see MCPE-111201), but the bug tracker is not the place for that. I would recommend the Analyzing Minecraft Discord for that, but please note that is just a personal recommendation from me as it is not affiliated with Mojang or the Bug Tracker.
Having similar issue on my Series X since the day before the last update. I load in, but if I start walking around my game might freeze and turn off the console. I have to sit still for a while for a better chance. Can't think of anything game breaking that needs to load in. A large kelp plot, a few furnaces that have been going for a while, maybe a pool of lava I made. No complex builds, farms, or anything.
Thank you for the Feedback GoldenHelmet. I will see if I can get the world downloaded to my GFs laptop and run some analytics there. I also want to add some more detail hoping to provide more insight so that this can be resolved.
I believe that local pending tick corruption is a likely candidate causing this. Would be good to hear feedback from others what types of builds/things were in their corrupted zones . As mentioned it only happened after the storage system was build which uses about 21 bubble elevators and a hell of a lot of redstone components. Additionally, I also saw occasional crashes when flying into the area of my hostile mob farm. I built half of silentwisperer's [Hostile Mob Farm|https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5zsgVqyoIw&t=274s.] These crashes happen before the Mob farm is activated or even when in peace mode. Flowing water would then be the only active entity. However, those crashes are way less frequent compared to the crashes by the base/storage area. That was the last project I built and seeing that those crashes kept spreading & getting worse I stopped playing for now.
For me, all of those crashes happen exclusively on the Xbox Series X. I can use my backup Xbox One and play in those chunks just fine and so can my GF when using my Xbox One to join as a second player via local Network. She only ever gets kicked when my console (Host) freezes up. I even used the Xbox One to move my character out of the "corruption" zone and was then able to play normally again on the Xbox Series X. Assuming that it is pending tick build-up/corruption then I still think that this issue happens exclusively on the Xbox Series S/X and Xbox One X (where the issue was originally reported) as the same build (which should cause the same tick build-up) runs smoothly on first generation Xbox One despite having quite a bit less computational power.
Causing special sound seem to accelerate the crashes. Like, when I accidentally logged out while being inside the "corruption" zone I will have a decent chance of getting crashes next time I load into the game. However, those crashes my take 10 minutes or so if I simply idle in a spot or only walk a bit back and forth in either the ground floor of my house or the specific storage room. However, as soon as I either climb a ladder (up/down to storage) or open a door (to leave house) the console freezes right at the moment it starts to play the special sound (ladder / open door).
Bryce Woodall: you mentioned a large kelp plot. That could be the culprit. Kelp farms were a factor behind MCPE-50175, which led to the changes in kelp ticking that caused problems with kelp growth in 1.14. All of that should be sorted by now, but depending on how you built the farm or how you harvest there could be issues. Perhaps if pistons are extending across a chunk border to break kelp, causing water to try to spread across the simulation distance boundary --see MCPE-75966.
Matthias: some redstone components do use pending ticks, so it could be that in your storage area. As far different XBox consoles I don't know anything and I've never owned and XBox. But, I think it is safe to say these pending tick crashes relate to a combination of cpu power, memory capacity, and memory management. The info about sound seems important. I'm no expert but I think it points to memory overload, e.g. if the entire available RAM is churning through the pending tick data then attempting to load separate process for the sound breaks it.
Not using pistons or any redstone to harvest kelp, all manual. The kelp is spread out over multiple chunks, however. A large area of the water it's contained in I mined out. Could it be the mess of water sources?
Edit: @Branko Šaškovič ~160 mb
BMan29: yes, there could be pending ticks left over from the water flows when you set up the area.
This happens in two different servers. One always happens at a mob farm that is the same on both worlds, also has a bamboo farm there. The second one is doing it now at a large kelp farm that has no active redstone or pistons. But doesn’t do this if I load at another area and then go there.
still hard crash. on my xbox one X. even at the up start at the game sometimes at the loading screen.
I can confirm this is still happening in 1.17.11,
I've noticed it mostly happens when crossing a chunk border, but not 100% of the time. Or When moving right after loading in, I tend to stand there for a minute and slowly rotate my camera so everything renders in before I move. Then do a few test movements, before running around like crazy to see if I'm good or if it's gonna crash. Then finally cross a chunk border I know to crash my Xbox.
I can confirm this also happens outside of realms. I really hope this gets resolved soon.
I made a ticket and got directed here. Here is the information I have relating Xbox series x hard shut down. This is console specific since last gen console of fine while I was troubleshooting.
I am the host. I built a mob grinder in the sky. I made sure my main redstone was in complete chunks. I have a hopper train sorting items (no water stream) all within loaded chunks as I Afk. There's a large water elevator(magma block / soul sand) going into the chest room from ground with another smaller elevator going into the afk room from there. If I try to leave the afk room into the elevator I will crash. Others can come to me and leave with no problems. I've loaded in with my son's account on a Xbox S (last gen) and he's fine. I've checked the hoppers with his account and there's no back up of items as I have a over flow that burns items. The system isn't really that stressed with items regardless since mob caps in bedrock are not that great. If I try to leave the area with my son next to me I still crash even though he's fine.
Considering my son can load into the game and area on a previous generation console; this crashing the system bug seems related to new generation consoles.
@James
I agree, I get the most problems at my general mob farm. I built it next to an iron farm and had no trouble with that, and I have much more complicated redstone contraptions elsewhere with no problems whatsoever.
I've noticed it happens when crossing chunk borders, and even sometimes when crossing a sub chunk border on the Y axis. That's actually where my problem was at my mob farm. I would crash when crossing the chunk from the iron farm going to my AFK chamber in the chunk next to it. But I wouldn't crash when crossing the same border from down below at sea level. So I built a separate bubble elevator to bypass where I was crashing. I even walled it off so I KNOW not to cross there.
And just for reference, I mostly play on a realm where this happens, but it has also happened outside the realm on the same world. I was reloading the world on the realm while testing and trying to find a fix for it (thinking it was on my end, like clear the cache and suff). And I always load the word up from my system before I put in on the realm, just to make sure my Ts are crossed ext.. and I still crashed, in the same way. Crossing a chunk border.
And deff only happens to the new Xbox's. I play with a friend who plays on an original Xbox one, and he has no problems with crashing, like at all. Just worse FPS, I'm at a solid 60FPS and he is at like 20FPS in our storage room. And still know problem with crashing. His connection is also worse with the distance being so far, I'm in America and he is in England. So it's not a problem with connection, packet loss, ext...
I hope they fix this soon, or at least narrow down what is the problem. I guessed it might have something to do with how the new Xbox's load new data ( like chunks loading when crossing a border) with the new SSD tech in the systems and Minecraft not being optimized for the new systems. I don't know why, it's just a hunch ( pure estimate).
Also the new playstation dosen't have the crashing problem either. My wife plays with me on the New playstation 5 and sometimes on the playstation 4, and no crashing at all. And I've tested it. Basically trying to make it crash doing the same things I'm doing on the new Xbox. And nothing, I'm on an Xbox series X by the way, for reference. Also note the new playstation also has the new SSD tech, so my estimate is vague at bast. I'll add more comments if I find anything else that might help.
I hope you find a work around like I did for now. If not you might have to build elsewhere.
Check out some texture packs from "FoxyNoTail" He has extremely reliable packs that people can trust. To put it on the Xbox, you will have to download an app called " my files explorer". It hade a free version and a full version for like $2.00 when I got it a while ago.. I dono if its the same or not.. then do some extra steps to add the pack to your game (You can find videos on YouTube to walk you through it). You would use internet explorer to download them from the Xbox. But he has one that can show chunk borders, it's called "markers". It's way easier than doing the math to find the border. You will also be able to see the sub chunk borders I was talking about. They are clearly marked with a green line in on the Y axis borders of the church being shown. I highly recommend checking him out, he's great!
Also "silentwisperer" who is great for pointing out new bugs. He hasn't covered this one "yet" but still really good info to learn. Like the new glow signs causing massive FPS drops. Like I was down to 35FPS in my storage room with all glowing signs. At a solid 60FPS with regular signs.
Hope this helps. : )
@Anthony Thanks for the confirmation. It's a really annoying problem. I am curious since you mention silent Whisper if you built his mob farm in the sky? I followed his tutorial and if you are having the same issues at the same height it may be related!? I also built my mob farm near my iron farm. So I've been trying to figure out the problem for days now. If I move my water elevator by a block do you think this would fix my issue?
I have looked into the foxy mod packs for chunk borders. I didn't know we could bypass the restriction for consoles. Does this remove achievements for the world? My son and I are getting them all as we play together and have been making sure the world stays cheat free.
This is a really annoying bug that needs to be addressed. I feel like not enough people are experiencing it and it's not getting reported since it's a hard reset of consoles. I don't think it has to do with the way things load. I've changed simulation distance and render distance with no changes to the crash behavior.
@James
Yes I built silentwisperer's mob farm, the double version. So it might be connected to the hight, somthing to consider. And as of moving your elevator, I dono if only moving it a block would help. I put mine in a completely different chunk.
As of adding packs to the council, and if it turns off achievements or not. It depends on the packs you add to your world. If it's just texture pacts then no it dosent turn off achievements. Because your only changing the look of somthing. Foxy's "Markers" pack is just a texture pack thankfully. I'm the same way about keeping my world legit. Now if you add a pack that is texture and behavior, the it will turn achievements off.
@Anthony
That's very interesting. I built the double version as well. So the Y190 Y191 level for me is where I have the problem. I'll try putting the entrance into a different chunk. I was finally able to break the crashing loop. I got out of the farm and I'm going to block out the chunks to reroute the entrance.
Re: James & Anthony having crashes near their mob farm and storage--Matthias Muehle also built silentwisperer's mob farm with a large water elevator and storage area. As I mentioned in my comments following up on his, it could be pending tick data related to flowing water that is causes the crashes.
Another possibility is the large storage areas. Hoppers pushing into full chests are known to cause heavy lag (e.g. MCPE-68796). Try locking the hoppers that are pointed into already-full chests by placing redstone blocks next to them, and see if that lessens the problem. If it does, you may want to look into designs for auto-locking storage.
If the crashes are sensitive to moving across a particular coordinate, that could be related to coming within range of a sound-producing block while the system is already lagging.
@GoldenHelmet:
I wanted to add to the discussion the following comments:
1. The hoppers in my storage system have been locked. I built three iterations of Prowl8413's multi-item sorter chained into each other around a central chunk . So, despite them pointing into full chests it should not add to lag. I slightly altered his design to have a total of 6 rows of double chests (total of 36 per unit). This means that the system is using a total of 3x 6 (or 7) water elevators in total. Also, the problem with the crashes only occurred once I added the second and third unit.
2. I built one side of Silent's general mob farm when the lags started there too. I only had a very basic storage system (12 chests), who were all locked. Thus, I again would agree with GoldenHelmet suspecting that the flowing water being the root cause.
3. Another observation (I know subjective) is that the crashes happen almost all the time if I leave the game while being in one of those at-risk areas and load back in. However, if I log off somewhere else, than walk to my house with storage it seems that the crash rate went down quite a bit compared to when I first had the issues around February.
4. To make matters worse/contradicting. I also built the two-container version of Silent's [Ink Farm|https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMW3Qrz6hxA&t=1197s.] This one has a lot more bubbles/blocks with bubbles compared to my item elevators. Not a single crash happened when being near that contraption and when re-logging there.
4. I did not follow up since my last comments. I recently started playing on and off and at some point noticed that one of the crashes actually reset the chunks of the Mob farm. The entire build is just gone, and the terrain went back to its original stage. I only had an old backup from a week earlier and checked and the farm was still there. However, there are a guardian farm and a trident farm nearby and they just stayed normal.
5. I know that it is a different bug (along issue 3.) but I also now found a missing chunk in a completely different part of my world. I am not even sure when that one glitched as I was approximately 800 blocks away when the crashes occurred. Also, it loaded in copper ore (visible as border block because of the missing chunk) despite that being chunks, which I had originally explored before C&C Part 1 came out.
Thank you for the additional info. I know the squid farm is not giving you any trouble, but have you tried turning off fancy bubbles (in video settings) to see if that makes the mob farm area more stable?
The reset chunks suggest world save corruption. That issue is tracked at MCPE-98789. It seems plausible that excess pendingTick data is causing the crashes, and the data built up to a point that it overflowed and corrupted the rest of the chunk data, and the game reacted to that by resetting and regenerating the chunk.
If anyone can provide a copy of an affected world save it would be helpful.
@GoldenHelmet I just want to clarify that I have have 4 water elevators for people to get that high and down. I'm not using water for my item storage. None of my chests are that full of items yet and I have a overflow to burn extra items already. I don't believe this is sound related as I can move freely in any direction but if I go one block down I'll crash. This is also only happening on the series x. I've got a original Xbox one X and a Xbox one s that have zero issues.
I've built far larger more completed systems than this. I highly doubt this is related to a few hoppers and chests. I can try to remove the water elevators but that's gonna be a pain to go up and down via ladders.
So I've emptied every chest and hopper and have no more water elevators. I think this is villager /sound related now. I've got an iron farm near the mob grinder and so does the other guy here. I've also got a villager trading hall with 128 villagers. I'll start to crash there when heading to it. I can hear the fletching table jobs from very far away. I thought it was odd but went about my business. When they are doing their jobs it might be what's crashing the game.
Reply from @unknown: yes, it could be the 128 villagers due to MCPE-64344 and/or 128 “working” sounds playing at the same time.
@unknown - Are you able and would you be willing to share a copy of the world save for investigation?
On Windows 10 you can use the Export world feature.
On Android or iOS you need to use a file explorer to navigate to Device storage > games > com.mojang > minecraftWorlds
On Xbox or Switch the only way is to upload it to a Realm, and then download the world on Windows 10 or Android/iOS. (Please do not purchase a Realms subscription just to provide a world to us - but if you have a Realm already this may be a viable option if you wish to do so.)
If the world is larger than 10MB you can upload the world to OneDrive or a similar file sharing site, and then share the link.
I wanted to add a update to the issue I used to play on a Xbox one X where I would have this problem and I troubleshooted it what I found is that I played on a 4k screen with 4k resolution enabled on my Xbox one X and the screen and every time I started the game it would either crash my Xbox instantly or let me play for a little while about 30 minutes to an hour on average to be clear it would hard crash my Xbox one X not the game, Now when I tried changing the resolution to 1080p ( At the recommendation of an other player with the same problem) it worked with no crashes period as in none at all and my game had no lag anymore so after a while I changed it back to 4k and it went back to crashing my Xbox one X almost immediately so in conclusion I found that Minecraft would not support 4k as in when the game tried to run the game at 4k it didn't have the true capability to, Then causing the Xbox to overheat and crash. Now I confirmed this to be the problem with other players with the same problem of Minecraft crashing the Xbox , I would also add that other problems like my world corrupting happed in result of this problem so for people having issues like this I would recommend trying this to see if it fixes the problem, Now I have recently gotten a new Xbox series S and have the same issue so I end up just playing the game at 1080p to solve the problem and it works fine, I think the core issue is that Minecraft has not gotten the update that it needs to run at 4k on Xbox so until that time a option that works is to just run the game at 1080p.
This issue is happening for my friends and I on our Series X consoles while playing on a Realm. We go to play the realm, it finished loading all the bars and then when we go to spawn in we either get a black screen or it loads some stuff but still mainly black and then it will sit there for a bit and then turn off the console.
It mainly happens when loading into the realm, not sure if happens at other times. Its only affecting us on the Series X, we are playing in 4k. Its not crashing our friends ipads, Nintendo Switches or Xbox One original type.
I'm still testing if its texture pack related but so far its happened on 2 different ones we have used. i'm trying playing now without a texture pack to see if it still happens.
We do have 3 water elevators, lots of storage chests, a villager and a mob farm near by too.
I sent a report back to MS via the Xbox report a problem option after the console had rebooted.
Just got my xbox series x last week.
Tried opening my main survival world from my standard xbox one save and it loads in ok but as soon as i move, the game freezes then blackscreens then shutsdown my xbox series x.
Cleared data reinstalled on external instead if internal.
Went back to my original xbox one game and made 3x copies of my main survival game and 1 of my creative testing world. Went back to series x and sync the new worlds. Open my creative world (not much in it but it does have an iron farm and several other sorting contraptions etc). This world loads and plays fine.
My main survival world however, does the exact same thing and crashes as soon as i move. I can spin around and load in chunks fine but as soon as i walk forward it freezes, blackscreens and shuts the series x down.
Been through this process several times now with the same result
Really frustrating as I only ever played on my 1 survival world for several years now. I will admit i have quite a bit of Redstone around 0,0 where my main base is as well as an iron farm and item sorters utilising waterstreams and water/bubble lifts etc, but my last gen xbox one ran the world fine. Unfortunatley i dont have realms so cant share my world for further investigation.
Also i only have a 1080p tv and have always ran at 1080p so 4k has nothing to do with the main issue here.
Not using any texture packs etc. Pure vanilla bedrock
This issue has happened for a long time now. Any news on a fix that will be coming out? I just read ALL of the comments and the only difference for me is that I made a support post and used their troubleshooting advice. The thing that worked was deleting the saved data from my console and then reloading Minecraft. Eventually that stopped working and so I made a new world. This today just crashed that new world and when loading Minecraft back up and doing any further troubleshooting or updating it now just says “there was a problem loading this world” and it won’t let me play either world anymore and probably won’t let any Xbox series x minecrafters play successfully until this is fixed. And yes I know there is a thread for “there was a problem loading this world” issue but that is mainly for everyone, not Xbox specific like this. Is this issue going to be resolved when 1.18 comes out? Minecraft is my favorite game and it is really sad that I can’t play. Do we know if these worlds will eventually be recoverable? Because if not it would be greatly appreciated if someone could let us know so we stop wasting our time making worlds that will continuously be lost forever.
Following my experience mentioned in my earlier post, i finally decided to give the 1.17.40 update a try on my series x. My previously console crashing world worked. I could move around without the console black screening and switching off. I had a check around and noticed a few of my animals had disapeared (probably due to the crashes glitching my save out in prior tests) so i re-synced another copy of my original xbox one world. And started it up on my series x. No issues at all and all my animals there. Seems to work perfectly fine for me since 1.17.40. This may not be the case for all players so I encourage you to retest since a lot of people may be assuming that nothing has changed since no official patch note refers to a potential included fix and this ticket still states that the issue is present in latest test build. There may be several causes for the console crash symptom and so some may still exist. But at least in my testing/experience at least 1 cause seems to be resolved.
I am having a similar issue as everyone else, but it seems to me mine is a lot more problematic. Mine isn't the worlds that I have itself, it is the entire game except oddly multiplayer servers. I can play multiplayer servers fine, no problem there. Once I try to play normal survival or creative on a realm, single player, or on multiplayer worlds (not realms) it shuts my Xbox down completely and tells me it overheated. It's a very inconsistent shut down as well, I've had it shut down after 1 second, to 5 minutes, 10 minutes, an hour, to multiple hours. More often it will shut down in a shorter amount of time than anything beyond 10 minutes. I've done some testing myself to see as to what may be causing it and I have realized that it's happening when I am loading into a world, right as soon as I am loaded in, after I run around for a little, and it will shutdown 90% of the time when I go through a nether portal or a ender portal. So it looks like it's a chunk loading issue which causes the Xbox to overheat, anytime it's trying to load in new chunks or pre-loaded, but not active chunks, I can audibly hear the fans kick into overdrive and shut my Xbox down for overheating. It's only a recent issue as well, I have played Minecraft on this Xbox Series S the week the new Xbox came out and had zero issues up until a couple weeks ago. I have clocked in 300+ hours and never ran into a single bug or problem. I have tried everything possible; doing a power cycle, clearing save data, uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft, resetting my Xbox entirely, and eventually tried deleting all my old worlds (RIP) to see if maybe a world I have is so corrupted that it was causing this somehow. None of those worked, my Xbox can run Cyberpunk 2077, GTA, Elden Ring, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 just fine. This is the only game and the only time I have ever came across a overheating issue. My Xbox is well cleaned on top of it, so I hope this helps add new information to an issue that seems to be going on for some time. I have discovered one new thing recently from trying out to see if the Minecraft Preview doesn't cause the problem (which worked for a little while until it shut down my Xbox). I wasn't playing with headphones on this time and I noticed something peculiar about how the Xbox tries to handle running the game. All other games I have played for years had usually a consistent fan speed (I can tell by how loud the fan gets, from time to time it would get a little louder but not too much). But with Minecraft when I am loading into a world the fan gets very loud and if I succeed with loading in it calms down drastically to almost inaudible levels. As soon as I start loading in new chunks the fan kicks on again to very loud levels. If I stop in my tracks and let it load (50% of the time it will load them in and I can keep playing) the fan calms down again to almost inaudible levels. So it keeps going from 1% fan speed to 100% fan speed which with every other game they have a somewhat consistent 50% fan speed throughout the game (not actual percentages but you can tell what I am saying).
One thing I like to add is I noticed if I uninstall and reinstall the game, the game works perfectly like the bug doesn’t exist. But once I leave the world and start a new one or join the world I played on before then the bug comes back and shuts my Xbox down and says it overheated. Not sure if it’s useful information, but something I noticed. Cause everytime I thought the bug went away after uninstalling and reinstalling the game, if I left the world I started or joined, once I hop backed into it, it would start up again
From all the testing I've done, Minecraft crashes whenever it tries to load multiple chunks too quickly at once. The problem is much more consistent if the Xbox has been running for a while before launching the game. It won't even make it past the world loading screen in such cases.
I'm having this same issue. Its not everytime I play but it happens at least once everyday. The lag is severe until it simply crashes my console. Also, i can't stand playing split screen with my kids because it lags very terrible. I hope this gets fixed because it's been a problem since the new update.
I’m having the same issue! I thought was due to me using a texture pack but even with it off I’ll load into a world and another maybe a minute it will freeze and shutdown my Xbox one X. I’ve done multiple hard resets and uninstalls only to run into the same issue again and again.
