When you sprint in water (creative) and go in to fly mode you go twice or more than normal. (Not guaranteed to happen right away)

If you double-tap the forward button whilst flying, you'll also receive the same speed boost. This is intentional, as double tapping the forward button also acts as the button to boost your flight speed, so you're effectively boosting your flight speed underwater, which is the expected result.
I think this is intended as a result of the fix for MCPE-84592.
