Desync with taking damage from jumping off the iron trapdoor

I found a bug where the game thinks that I fell down, although I still remain on the platform, I found the bug a long time ago, since version 1.20.10, but maybe even lower

How to make this bug?

 

  1. you need to rebuild the structure like in my video and screens(below)

  2. it is important to know that in the 3 by 3 water there must be a block on which the game will think that we are imaginary jumping

  3. and now its only your reaction time 🙂

  4. u can do it without water, but i think, that you can catch timing much more often when there is water below

I improved the reproduction steps, and I can confirm.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Build this structure. There is a pillar of smooth stone and glass which shows how many blocks the iron trapdoor must be above the water. When the iron trapdoor is opened with the stone button, it should face the same direction as the the stone button. The iron trapdoor must also be using the top half of a block space when closed.   1. Stand on the iron trapdoor. 

  2. Switch to survival if you have not already. If you are in survival, you can skip this step.

  3. Face downwards and face towards the stone button until you select it.

  4. As soon as you press the stone button, immediately start moving to the left of the stone button.

  5. If you fall in the water, run this command, then start from step 2: /tp @p ~ ~6 ~
