Parity issue: attacking with a map animation is different from java edition

On Java Edition and Legacy Console Editions of Minecraft, The attack animation while holding a map are identical, while in the Bedrock Edition It does a strange rotation while attacking.

Just to explain the bug in more detail, in Java, the map moves with 2 hands down and up when attacking with it. 

In Bedrock, the map moves with 2 hands side to side with a strange rotation when attacking with it. 

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create and draw a map.

  2. Do not look at any block or entity.

  3. Attack while holding the map you just created and drawn with 2 hands.

Expected Result:

The held map moves with 2 hands down and up when attacking with it.

Observed Result: 

The held map moves with 2 hands side to side with a strange rotation when attacking with it.

  • The feature behaves differently in one edition than in the other
