Some cross models are not stretched like Java Edition

In the 1.21.60.21 preview, many cross model blocks are now double-sided, like flowers and saplings. Most cross models were also stretched in 1.21.70.20, as described in the comments on MCPE-188463.

However, sweet berry bush and calibrated sculk sensor were forgotten, and flower pots were stretched too much. (MCPE-190422)

All cross models on Java Edition are stretched except seven special ones listed below the table. Cross models which are part of a larger model, such as the stems of azalea bushes, are also stretched.

The Java Edition version of this table is all green checkmarks.

This table also tracks double-sidedness for completion's sake, but the main report is here: MCPE-188463.

This is related to the rows (like wheat) model bug: MCPE-146936

These block IDs do not stretch their cross models on Java Edition, so they were excluded from the table:

  • big_dripleaf (stem)

  • chain

  • lantern/soul_lantern (top chain)

  • mangrove_propagule (hanging top part)

  • pitcher_crop/pitcher_plant

  • sea_pickle (pickle stems which appear when underwater)

  • small_dripleaf (stem)

These block IDs do not have double-sided cross models on Java Edition:

  • chain

  • lantern/soul_lantern (top chain)

  • melon_stem/pumpkin_stem

Expected Result

The same cross models are stretched and double-sided as in Java Edition.

Observed Result

Some cross models are not stretched and double-sided, breaking parity with Java Edition.

Can confirm 1.21.60.23.

AgentMindStorm2

The Bamboo Sapling model was fixed in 1.21.60.23, so the report was updated to match. However, the Torchflower Crop is still z-fighting, and Nether Wart is not visible from some directions: MCPE-188458

AgentMindStorm2

Almost all blocks affected by this issue have been fixed in 1.21.70.20. Only potted plants, sweet berry bush, and calibrated sculk sensor are still stretched incorrectly on Bedrock.

Sweet Berry Bush is not stretch.

Replying to GXMDino:

You are incorrect. Here is a screenshot from the latest snapshot (25w05a) vs. Bedrock 1.21.51.

The model is slightly different between platforms, but they are stretched equally, so they do not fall under this bug report. The stem is scaled larger on Java, but the relative height/width of each pixel is the same as Bedrock.

Oh, ok, I thought it was the stretch.

AgentMindStorm2

The ADO for this bug report should be updated to match the new description, which describes the latest changes from 1.21.70.20. This bug report was silently, partially addressed, so the ADO will be out of date otherwise.

AgentMindStorm2

Since the blocks affected by this issue change almost every preview, updating this report is not the right way to keep track of the most recent issues. Instead, the remaining issues have been splintered into their own reports:

Calibrated Sculk Sensor: MCPE-169777
Sweet Berry Bush: MCPE-190470
Flower Pot Overstretching: MCPE-190422

To see a related list of double-sided issues, see the comments of MCPE-188463.

It would make the most sense to close this report as "Fixed in 1.21.70.22", as the remaining issues will be handled separately.

AgentMindStorm2

This report should be marked “Fixed in 1.21.70” as the vast majority of cross model issues have been resolved. The remaining issues have been splintered into separate bug reports for each blockshape.

These cross models should be double-sided, but currently aren't:
