When waking up after going into sleep mode while the game is running, the game screen can freeze and the window can glitch

It seems to be a issue after 1.21.51.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Enter a world

  2. Put your computer into sleep mode

  3. Resume from it

Expected Results:
The game screen doesn't freeze

Observed Results:
The game screen can freeze; and you get a glitched window

Note:
The game simulation continues.

I don't believe this i valid. The red color shown in the attached picture is just the default accent color of the UWP Bedrock application. It also appears if you resize the window too quickly.

I mean, stuck on that window

It doesn't seem to depend on whether the window is full screen/maximized.

I don't see how turning off your monitor could have any affect on the game, unless your setup has Windows put the computer to sleep when it detects that the monitor is off. In that case, what you are seeing is a result of the computer waking from sleep. Does that sound accurate?

I can't seem to reproduce it on my laptop, so this may only be an issue for desktops.

After consideration, the issue is being closed as Won't Fix.

Please note that this is not the same as Working as Intended, as this bug report correctly describes behavior in the game that might not be the intended or desirable behavior, but it will not be fixed right now. Sometimes, this is because the issue reported is minor and/or impossible to change without large architectural changes to the code base.
