New mob varients aren't loading in. Just the standard old mobs loading even in hot/cold biomes in survival on a server. Even in new chunks they cannot be seen anywhere. Had multiple players looking and none would spawn

Having the same issue in a 10+ year old world I play on a server with friends. No one has seen the new mob variants. We’ve found all the new grass/leaves/plants, but no new mobs. Anywhere. New chunks or old.
Are you using addons on the world?
