Marketplace search / filter / sorting cannot load items after the first list and scrolling below the first list loads the items from it

Marketplace search / filter / sorting cannot load items after the first list and scrolling below it loads the contents from the first list as if it were another, regardless how far player scrolls. As far as I tested, contents from the first list loads every time I scrolled to the next list. This makes filtering, searching and sorting useless if you want to search far.

For those thinking it was due to content overuse, it’s not, because it was too suspicious to have multiple partners making the same content under the same name with the same rating without interchanging with other partners.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. With Minecraft open, go to Marketplace

  2. Click the search icon (the magnifier)

  3. In search, click the sort icon (Sorting)

  4. Click “Oldest First” (so it enables sorting)

  5. Observe the contents the list loads, this will be used for comparing later.

  6. Scroll to the bottom to load the continued list of contents

  7. Observe the contents the next list had just been loaded

Expected result: contents in step 7 would be different to ones from step 5, items in same topic through the steps should be from the different author and have different star ratings.

Observed result: contents in step 7 are exactly the same as ones from step 5. Scrolling further still shows the contents that appeared from step 5 as if it were released later (see Note and “content from first list sorted from oldest first.png“).

Workarounds: Surf in New Releases tab (the leaf icon) for newest contents or do a search in Marketplace in-game to pinpoint which topic you want, or search in Marketplace catalog on web for official or for unofficial service, Bedrock Explorer.

Note: As far as I tested, it also affects searching, filtering and other sorting. On the image “content from first list sorted from newest first.png“, I put repeating “Gingerbread” in red rectangle, on “content from first list sorted from oldest first.png“, contents that are sorted oldest first are no longer properly sorted, as repeating patten still affects this sorting method, A bar where it was repeating and was repeated is put with the red rectangle.

Additional note: some of step-by-step procedure are taken from MCPE-194556 but it was so confusing, the moderator closed it as if it were a complain of unoriginal contents, in fact I was even confused until I watched the screen recording the reporter had commented.

This is really bad.

not resolved.I still can't do it.

1.21.71 not resolved.I still can't do it.

I ran myself on 1.21.62 (the outdated version) on my desktop (PC), 1.21.70 and 1.21.71 on iOS (the iPhone 15 to be precise) and confirmed that this might be affected on the server side, where it will not read what page it will load, and it will always load the first page.

To those who want deep inspection, like me, it shows the first 18 results and then the next 6 results, or first 24 results and when the user scrolls down to load more, it shows the next 18 + 6 or 24 results, whichever you want to say to me, but due to the server-side bug or miscommunication, unless addressed, it shows the first 18 results, but at the same time the first 6 results, and when scrolled down, another of first 18 results and first 6 results “loaded”.

I almost wanted to blame “unscheduled” Marketplace featured material updates but since 1.21.62 still has properly seen rating screen unlike 1.21.70+ where the individual rating bars are broken, I now see it as a server-side issue. And don’t say it’s the host side because I have already said above.

This time it is 16+8 result. Still not fixed yet. And it’s still on server side.

Fixed for me / cannot reproduce as of 1.21.71 at 4th April.
