I can confirm this. I received a message in chat that my invitation may have failed to send. Both my friend and I are using an iPhone 6s on iOS 10. He did see me in the friends tab but when he clicked on it, it said "Server not found". I AM on wifi

My friend on an Xbox 360 can see me on iPad and vice versa. I click on the friends tab while he is in and I can't see him. It says no friends are playing right now.

Same here, I can no longer receive invites from any Minecraft player what so ever, I also tested this using my Kindle Fire and still never received the invite. I'm really hoping this can be fixed because I do not know if people are inviting me, I already made sure that post notifications are on, they are and yet iPhone 6 can not receive invites.

I also experience and can reproduce this bug on four iOS devices:

iPad Air, iPhone 6, iPhone 6S, iPhone 8 (iOS 11.4.1); Minecraft v1.5.0
EDIT: 2018-08-09 - Affects v1.5.3
EDIT: 2018-08-29 - Affects v1.6.0
EDIT: 2018-09-17

  • Appears to be partially resolved with v1.6.1. System and in-game notifications for game invites are now being received on iOS. Multiplayer worlds set to Friends Only still do not appear in the Friends tab for other players. (Note: Tested and confirmed with v.1.6.1 on iOS 11.4.1 and iOS 12).

Issue(s):

  • Players do not receive in-game invites sent via Xbox Live (EDIT: 2018-09-17 - Fixed with v.1.6.1, iOS 11.4.1/iOS 12)

  • Host's world also does not appear in the Friends tab when multiplayer setting is set to Friends Only (EDIT: 2018-09-17 - Still affects v.1.6.1, iOS 11.4.1/iOS 12)

Checked:

  • iOS system notifications are enabled for Minecraft and the Xbox App

  • Host's world's multiplayer settings is set to Invite Only and/or Friends

  • All players are signed in to a Microsoft/Xbox Live Account

  • All players are Xbox Live friends

  • All players have the "Others can communicate with…" Xbox Live Privacy Setting set to "Friends"

Also affects other platforms according to MCPE-35261 and MCPE-34997.

This is still affecting all iOS devices, it need this to fix

Still unable to receive invites.
