When driving a boat, the item in hand should disappear, but in MCPE 1.0.2, the item is still in hand while driving the boat.

On one hand, you're rowing with 2 hands, so you shouldn't be holding anything. On the other, you're able to attack & interact while rowing, so not including the item in your hand would be confusing. I believe either there should be a game mechanic change or this should be marked as WAI.

On java edition the item in hand does get hidden, so it is probably not intended. If I remember correctly, it used to hide the hand itself, when holding no item in hand, but now, the hand itself doesn’t get hidden.
