Vibrant visuals brightness setting not accurate

When I enable vibrant visuals. I can change the brightness. There are 3 creepers. The first one should not be visible according to the UI. This is only the case when I set the slider all the way to the left. However, when I do this, the game looks horrible. The second creeper should be barely visible, but is always clearly visible. The third creeper should be clearly visible, but is always white. Only on the darkest setting, is the brightest creeper almost visible (not pure white).

When I set the slider at around 25% (When the creeper that should not be visible (the first creeper) is barely visible), the graphics look acceptable. However, they are both slightly too dark and slightly too bright at the same time. (The brightness range is too big)

My proposal is: change the brightness slider to multiple sliders.

One will set the minimum light level.

Another one will set the maximum light level.

Optionally, a third will set the balance.

Also: It might be better that there are 3 creepers, the first should be barely visible, the second clearly, and the third also barely visible.
