Steps to reproduce the issue:
Copy the options.txt to somewher else for later comparation.
Launch the game, make sure Graphic Mode is Vibrant Visuals.
Change the value of “Clouds” from “Medium” to any other value.
Copy the current options.txt to somewhere else again, and use some tools to find the differences between these two files.
Exit and relaunch the game.
Expected result:
The “Clouds” option should stay at where you change it to. And there should be defference between those file because you change the “Clouds” option.
Actual result:
The “Clouds” slider has been reset to “Medium”, and there’s no difference of that options.txt before and after you change the “Clouds” option.

No It is not. I tried reinstall the game, then search for “cloud“ in options.txt, but there are only two values called “do_not_show_cloud_upload_prompt” and “gfx_toggleclouds“. And if I add this value to the file, it will get deleted when I launch the game.

This setting should be controlled by "cloud_quality" in options.txt, is this not present in the file?
