MCPE froze on son's account when jumping in Nether, then mine when I got near him

My son on his Android tablet was jumping down some stairs in the Nether in my Realms world when it froze on him. I walked near him playing in Win10 and it then froze for me also. I've tried exiting and re-entering multiple times, and it typically freezes during the Building Terrain stage of loading. I've tried swapping the Realm over to Creative to no effect, and back again.

I'm not sure where to find crash logs, or I'd attach one.

I've managed to unfreeze us both, by closing MCPE, reopening it, joining the Realm and immediately backing up.

It appears to be at least 1 chunk in the Nether that has the problem. It's not just a single Ghost block, it's an entire area that no one can enter. And I'd been going through it multiple times before this happened.

This issue still exists in 1.1.5 on Win10. There's a spot in my Nether where I can not go, because it freezes up my entire MCPE Win10 app. I have to Alt-F4 it, then Alt-Tab to get my mouse cursor back, then run MCPE, rejoin the Realm and immediately start backing out of the affected zone. If I'm fast enough with the retreat, it doesn't freeze up on me again.

Thank you for your report!
