When typing "%" it becomes invisible

I was on a world with a friend and I was saying that I was 50% finished with my project I was working on but when I typed it in chat, the “%” percent symbol disappeared. But when typing “%%” in chat it came out as “%”. Typing “%%%” in chat produces “%%”. Typing “%%%%” in chat produces “%%”.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open Minecraft on any device.

2. Join any world.

3. Open chat.

4. Type “%” (percent symbol).

Observed Result:

The “%” disappears.

Expected Result:

The “%” should appear.
