Cannot equip certain free items in character creator

On the character creator, certain free items (such as some facial hairs, mouths, and eyes) are now displaying Minecoin symbols in the bottom right of their icon. When clicked, it still gives you the option to equip, but the button will do nothing and the item will not equip. Template characters with these items already equipped still have the item, but they cannot be customised and they do not show as being equipped in the character creator.
