All versions of Copper trapdoors (waxed or unwaxed) show up as gray on maps both on survival (first screenshoot the grey line on the blue part) and creative.

Here is a world file and tested on 1.21.82 Windows shown for reproducing the steps
Create a new flat world then create a locator map from empty locator map
Take a non-waxed or waxed copper blocks and trapdoors with all stages
Place a 3x3 between regular to oxidized copper blocks/trapdoors and observe the locator map
Observed result: The copper trapdoors are colored gray on map instead of different colors of copper trapdoors.
