Description:
Baby Zombified Piglins, Baby Drowned, and converted Baby Zombie Villagers cannot obtain the riding ability like other normal baby zombie variants, and therefore cannot form Chicken Jockeys with chickens.
How to Reproduce:
When spawning baby zombified piglins, baby drowned, or converted baby zombie villagers near chickens using spawn eggs or commands, these variants completely fail to mount the chickens and form chicken jockeys, unlike regular baby zombies which can naturally become jockeys.
When using the /ride
command to force baby zombified piglins, baby drowned, and converted baby zombie villagers to mount chickens, only baby drowned succeed in forming chicken jockeys. Even when successful, these baby drowned jockeys fail to drop any loot (including expected drops like lava buckets or music discs) upon death, unlike regular baby zombie jockeys which drop appropriate items.
The abnormal baby zombie variants being tested in this case cannot be directly spawned by commands - they must be manually created using methods like spawn eggs. Notably, the baby zombie villagers specifically must be generated by infecting normal baby villagers with zombies.
Here's the complete testing procedure:
First, use spawn eggs to generate a baby zombified piglin and a baby drowned
Then, create a baby zombie villager by having a zombie infect a normal baby villager
After gathering all three baby mobs, name tag each of them 'A'
Execute the command:
/ride @e[name=A] summon_ride chicken
Results:
Only the baby drowned successfully rides the chicken
Even when successful, the baby drowned jockey drops no items upon death
Except Results:
When spawning baby zombified piglins, drowned, or converted zombie villagers near chickens using spawn eggs or commands, these variants completely fail to naturally form Chicken Jockeys. Even when forced using the /ride command: baby piglins and zombie villagers still can't mount chickens, while baby drowned can be mounted but won't drop any loot (including the expected Lava Chicken Disc) when killed - unlike naturally spawned Chicken Jockeys.
This is a clear inconsistency - all baby zombie variants (including zombified piglins, drowned, and converted villagers) should have a chance to ride chickens and form Chicken Jockeys, exactly as they do in Java Edition. Currently, only regular baby zombies properly implement this mechanic, which severely affects legitimate Pigstep disc acquisition through lava-based chicken jockey farming methods. This parity issue requires immediate fixing.

Thank you for your report!
Could you let us know of you used commands to summon baby zombified piglin and baby zombified villager and if so could you let us know what commands did you use?
This ticket will automatically reopen when you reply.
Actually, these mobs weren't spawned via commands - since Bedrock Edition lacks direct commands to spawn baby variants, we used spawn eggs to create the baby zombified piglins, drowned, and converted villagers. After spawning, we saved them using structure blocks for consistent testing purposes.
Regardless of the spawning method used - whether through spawn eggs, natural spawning, or any other valid approach - when testing with the /ride
command as demonstrated in the video, you'll consistently observe the same results: only baby drowned can form Chicken Jockeys, and even those don't drop proper loot upon death.
Of course, you need to note that the small mobs referred to here are specifically: baby zombified piglins, baby drowned, and baby zombie villagers that were converted from infected baby villagers. Importantly, these must be baby zombie villagers converted from baby villagers - not naturally spawned or created from spawn eggs, as these are two distinct mob types with different behaviors.
