The Void superflat preset is the wrong biome

The bug

The biome in “The Void” superflat preset is supposed to be the biome of the same name: the void. This biome spawns no mobs and has its own properties. Instead, the biome used is plains.

How to reproduce

  1. Enter the world creation menu

  2. Pick “flat world”

  3. Select the void preset

  4. Create the world

  5. /fill ~-20 ~ ~-20 ~20 ~ ~20 grass_block

  6. Fly away a bit

Expected results

Mobs should not spawn

Observed results

Mobs spawn. Also the grass color is wrong. It’s unclear if there are other observable differences between the plains and void biome in-game at this time.

This is actually caused by the biome id of the flatworld preset being set to 1, which is plains, as seen in this FlatWorldLayers preset:

{"biome_id":1,"encoding_version":6,"preset_id":"TheVoid","world_version":"version.post_1_18"}
