When it rains in the mushroom fields and vibrant visuals is enabled, visibility is reduced much more drastically than it is in other biomes, making it very difficult to function.
Steps to reproduce the issue: With Vibrant Visuals enabled, go to a mushroom field island and wait for it to rain.
Expected result: when it rains, fog reduces visibility somewhat.
Actual result: When it rains, fog reduces visibility drastically, to about two chunks.
The attached screengrab was taken in a realm, and my volumetric fog quality is set to low.

@GoldenHelmet I don’t have a render distance setting specific to VV. My deferred render distance is 18 chunks. So, by your math I should have 12.6 chunks of visibility, which I do in other biomes.
What is your vibrant visuals render distance set to?
From what I can tell in the game files, weather fog should start at 23% of render distance and reach full opaqueness at 70% of render distance. So, if you have a render distance of 8, you should get 5.6 chunks of visibility in rain or snow.
