MCPE-225482 Mooshroom mushrooms glow on the dark when the player (not the mob) is near a light source Confirmed MCPE-225464 Mushroom field rain fog is too dense in Vibrant Visuals Confirmed

I’ve been seeing this too. I have a painting of Dennis that occasionally breaks off the wall. It touches the floor, and the times I have found it broken were right after I’d slept. I have a cat that darts down the hall to drop its “gift,” and said gift is very near the painting. That may have something to do with it or it may just be coincidence.

Possibly related - The mushrooms on the backs of red mooshrooms often shine brightly in the dark, but not always, and they can flash on and off. This doesn’t seem to be related to collisions; it can happen when they are walking about on perfectly flat, featureless terrain. I am in a realm in which I have Vibrant Visuals turned on and a friend does not; we both see the glow-in-the-dark red mushrooms.

Here is the same view without rain, showing an 18-chunk deferred render distance.

@GoldenHelmet I don’t have a render distance setting specific to VV. My deferred render distance is 18 chunks. So, by your math I should have 12.6 chunks of visibility, which I do in other biomes.

This is a reference to “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.” "There is an art to flying, or rather a knack. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.”

The end flash sound can be heard in the nether as well.
