I’m experiencing a recurring issue on Minecraft Bedrock Edition for PS5. When attempting to load one of my worlds, the game crashes and displays the error message:
“There is not enough space on the PlayStation®5 system storage. Please make more space available and try again.”
This is incorrect — I have over 100GB of free space on my PS5. Other worlds load without issue, but this specific world consistently fails to load. After the crash, I’m returned to the main menu and receive a second error:
“Global Resources Reset: An error occurred while loading global resources.”
I’ve tried the following troubleshooting steps:
Reinstalled Minecraft
Rebuilt PS5 database
Duplicated the world and attempted to load the copy
Cleared additional storage space just in case
None of these steps resolved the issue. The problem seems isolated to this one world, but the false “out of storage” message and global resource crash suggest a deeper bug in how Minecraft handles world data or resource packs on PS5.
Steps to Reproduce:
Launch Minecraft Bedrock Edition v1.21.94 on PS5
Attempt to load the affected world
Observe crash and false “out of storage” error
Return to main menu and receive “Global Resources Reset” error
Expected Result:
The world should load normally, especially given ample system storage.
Actual Result:
Game crashes with incorrect storage error and fails to load global resources.
