Iron Golem PBR texture stays illuminated at night with RTX

( same issue with Vanilla glass frame)

  • Steps to reproduce the issue: activate a PBR resource pack - raytraced capabilities in manifest.json; NOTE: tested Iron_Golem “mer” texture has only active red channel for the body and only active green channel for the eyes (same result either with normal or indexed image);

  • Expected result: the mob body gets darker as the sun goes down;

  • Actual result: the mob body does not get darker as the sun goes down;

I cannot reproduce this in vanilla vibrant visuals. If you are reporting an issue with the addon system we need you to attach a sample pack that reproduces the issue.

This issue is being temporarily resolved as Awaiting Response. Once the requested information has been delivered, the report will be reopened automatically.

Response:

You can download the texture-pack here.

As I described above, this is an issue related to an RTX texture-pack.

Thank you for the link to the pack. I checked its mer file for the iron golem, and it has emissiveness (green) of 130 for the eyes and 2 for the rest of the body. So, it is coded to glow in the dark and have very bright eyes. If you think that is a mistake you will need to take it up with the pack's creator.

Ok, my mistake. I am the pack’s creator. I found an issue with iron golem texture bit-depth resolution.

Thanks.
