During my survival world with my friends I noticed a REALLY annoying bug that was about to make me fall in a pit filled with lava, it doesn't happen all time but happens usually.
When I get into the process of breaking a block and the textures of the block I'm breaking appears, I stop breaking the block and I notice that after a few seconds the textures reappear and the crack on that block increases to it's maximum even though I'm not breaking it. It happened with me once when I was passing through a bridge on lava and I almost died because I thought the block under me is going to break, but actually the block just shows the final texture of the cracking and just then goes to normal again.
I'm 100% sure that wasn't something my friends did to me to prank me because it actually happened to me in a single player world I played earlier. There's also another bug with viewing the textures during breaking a block, sometimes when I break a Cobblestone with a stone pickaxe, the crack on the block shows exactly how it would be if it was broken using hand. But it doesn't actually take the time that the hand takes to mine that block and gets mined completely normal.

This looks like the issue I was about to report, but the description is a bit different. What I'm seeing (Win 10, single player) is as follows:
When using the dig/break button with no target (e.g. into the air), the block underneath the player shows the breaking animation/texture. The animation continues even if the button is released. The block does not seem to be actually breaking, despite going through the animation till the end.
