I get the error message “Your version is not supported” when attempting to log into my Shockbyte Minecraft server. The server is on it’s latest release, 1.21.100.7, same as the latest version on Minecraft’s website, but the game itself is on 1.21.101. I’ve tried a couple of fixes, including turning Online Mode off, but nothing has worked. There aren’t any other versions that could match with 1.21.101 in the dropdown menu, as the stable versions end at 1.21.100.7 and the snapshots have no 1.21.100 versions.
Build ID: 35767061
Branch ID: hotfix_21_u10
Commit ID: 98aaa32f94e0440ba67be562ccf07fefefbac0d9
Steps to Reproduce:
Server is updated to latest Minecraft version 1.21.100.7
Minecraft itself is updated to latest version 1.21.101
Attempt to join server.
Observed Results:
Players get “Your version is not supported” then are kicked back to the menu screen. Unable to join at all, no matter what I try.
Expected Results:
I should be able to join this server with little problem. Both server and game are at latest version, why is there a mismatch?
To add some possibly confusing context, the official bedrock download page https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download/server/bedrock does not contain a Linux binary for the new
1.21.101
update, the windows binary works, but the linux binary is still on1.21.100.7
I believe someone at Mojang has simply forgotten to compile the linux release of the new update, hence the OP’s server doesn’t auto-update because their host runs the server on Linux.
