Steps to reproduce issue:
1 Make a boat
2 Place it in the water
3 Break it
Expected result: boat drops as an item to pick up
Actual result: the boat sometimes disappears as it is dropping. This doesn’t happen every time, but when you’re exploring and constantly getting in/out of the water it happens. This might be a directional thing, but I’ve not been able to establish which direction causes the issue.

Um, no. This has happened about 4 times. I can’t have done it done it that many times. Sorry, I resubmitted this as this disappeared from my list. In the video I don’t think I hit the item while it is floating.
This is definitely the same issue as MCPE-229501. Until the bug is fixed, use your hands to break the boat, as they won't destroy the item in one hit, or hit the boat slowly with your sword.
Hi, I have re-checked this bug out and I believe it is the bug mentioned above. Hitting the boat with the exact number of hits required never resulted in the boat vanishing but I could get the item to vanish by hitting it on the ground. Thank you for your help clearing this up. BTW, have you tried breaking a boat in Bedrock with your hands…..
Are you possibly hitting the boat again after it breaks?
This might be the same as MCPE-229501 then.
