I have been in contact with support since 11 November and it is not an account issue. I believe this is potentially a “version issue”, as stated above, and therefore I personally consider it may be a bug.

Where do we turn if it is not a bug and not an account issue and support cannot offer further help?

Support reviewed my account and all my evidence and declined my case without commenting on WHY it was rejected. I know that I did the quest right. Other people are saying they did it right. Support know something and won’t comment on it.

On the basis that my support request already looked into my account and closed the case I’d be most grateful if you could offer an alternative.

Why are people not getting the cape? I have a theory. I normally have automatic updates paused due to the high number of bugs being reported - especially because people lose all their worlds. I believe it’s possible that it was important to be running the most recent version of Minecraft during the promotion. I don’t know if mine was up to date or not, but there was nothing in the T&Cs that say which version of Minecraft you have to use. So I should be eligible as I followed all the instructions. If it had said that you have to use Version XYZ then I could have checked and updated. That’s my theory. Can anyone from Mojang confirm this please?

Hello! I’ve just finished talking to Minecraft Support about the Copper Cape issue. I provided direct evidence that I completed the copper cape challenge (see attached screenshot including date that the file was saved). Unfortunately, after a ‘specialist’ looked into my case I was told that I was ineligible for the cape - despite doing exactly what we were told to do. I did this in creative: place 4 golems, break them, pick them up and place them again. Of course, you only need to pick and place 1 golem. I took a screenshot as I knew that Bedrock was pretty buggy and things often go wrong. I waited, like you did and contacted support to see what was happening. I believe there is a reason for some people not getting copper capes…

I had this issue just by logging out and logging back in again. It created a ghost account with no data.

Updated again today when updates are paused in MS Store, Xbox App and Windows Updates.

This does not allow us the opportunity to back up worlds from the world eating bugs that often occur in the game.

I have paused all updates and I expect them to be paused. I’ve now got to go and check on the other account on this PC and fix this bug manually again.

Not happy. Please fix.

When this happened to me the armor stands slowly dropped down through solid blocks. I found them on different floors of my base, always a lower floor, and sometimes half way through the ceiling. I even found an armor stand plus a full set of armor 3 months later buried about 20 blocks under my base.

Hello, can you reopen this as I tried multiple searches and didn’t find a duplicate? If you know of a duplicate can you post it here so I can vote for it? This bug is still current.

Now affects the main game on both ms accounts and both mc accounts (different logins). This is very frustrating as worlds are often deleted between updates but now we don’t even get to choose when we update even when updates are turned off! I really don’t want to play minecraft anymore. Other family members still want to play though. Even ms store is broken by this update.

Not sure if this is the same bug or a new bug with the nautilus. In first person there’s almost no sound from the nautilus moving but from the other two views there is clear sound.

If someone from Mojang could confirm that they are aware of this issue, as we’re providing lots of evidence and there hasn’t been a response, that would be very helpful. I’m aware that there are lots of critical bugs at the moment, but this bug is affecting my hearing - many sounds too quiet to hear - some too noisy.

You are absolutely right. I’m sorry your bug got closed as duplicate. I did check for other bug reports but at the time the server was very slow and didn’t show any other reports. I prefer to add to existing reports rather than add even more reports to the server. If the staff at Mojang would like to close this report as duplicate and reopen yours then I’m happy for that to happen. I think it’s best to work constructively towards a solution. I will post the two images I have here on your account.

Thank you very much for looking into this. I don’t usually use the Xbox App to download so I’m not so familiar with the settings. I don’t think it should be downloading automatically, see screenshot, but there are so many options in different places that I can’t be sure. I had a whole list of apps that needed updating (Microsoft Store), including the most recent update to Bedrock, which I also hadn’t downloaded, but Preview was the only one that did it all by itself when started. I hope this helps.

I had this when breaking a boat with a sword an accidentally hitting the item as it dropped.

Hi, I have re-checked this bug out and I believe it is the bug mentioned above. Hitting the boat with the exact number of hits required never resulted in the boat vanishing but I could get the item to vanish by hitting it on the ground. Thank you for your help clearing this up. BTW, have you tried breaking a boat in Bedrock with your hands…..
