While playing Minecraft Bedrock on my iPhone 12, the game keeps freezing for about 1 second every 15–20 seconds.
This issue happens even with the lowest settings (render distance 5 chunks, all graphics options off).
Other games like Delta Force and Mobile Legends run smoothly without any lag.
I already tried restarting the device, reinstalling Minecraft, and clearing storage, but the problem still happens.
Please help fix this issue — it makes the game almost unplayable.
Steps to Reproduce:
Open Minecraft on iPhone 12 mini
Join or create any world (survival or creative)
Play for a few minutes
→ Game freezes every 15–20 seconds
Expected Result:
The game should run smoothly without freezing.
Actual Result:
Game freezes for 1 second every 15–20 secconds during normal play

It looks like you’re using a resource pack or add-on - could you please let us know if the issue persists without any packs or add-ons applied?
It would be helpful if you could add your findings to the main bug where we are tracking this issue at MCPE-228430.
I want to clarify that the freezing issue has nothing to do with resource packs. Whether I use a resource pack or not, the game still freezes the same way. So it seems the problem isn’t caused by resource packs, but possibly another bug in the game. i tried many waya to fix it but noting works.
In addition, several other players have also experienced the same issue since Minecraft version 1.21.30 and above. They call it “spike lag”, which causes short freezes that happen repeatedly during gameplay.
Please look into this issue, as many players are affected and it greatly impacts the gameplay experience.
Hi, I would like to apologize — it seems that the freezing or spike lag issue on my device was actually caused by the texture pack I was using. I’m really sorry for the confusion earlier.
However, I really enjoy using resource packs because they make the game look better. Could you please give me some advice or steps on how I can use resource packs without experiencing spike lag?
Also, if the game still freezes even when I’m not using any resource pack, I’ll report back to let you know.

Please fix this as soon as possible, it's very annoying when frozen when attacked by many hostile mobs every time I die bcs of that freeze
