User settings not saving when closing and re-opening the game.

Settings such as Render Distance, and the Render Clouds toggle are not saving to the player’s preferred setting.

Each time I log in I must manually redo these settings, although this was addressed as “fixed” somewhat recently, it seemingly is not.

Recreate:

  1. Change your render distance and render clouds toggles in the video options from the default.

  2. Close the game, and load Minecraft back up.

  3. The toggles you set should have now reverted to the default.

This may only affect Realms, as I primarily play in a Realm, but as it’s an issue concerned with the settings of an individual player, I would not be shocked if it affects the whole game, disregarding player preferences.

Go ahead and you tell me. This is not my job.

You are the reporter of this issue, not Blawik. As the reporter, it is your responsibility to provide the information requested.

It’s fine, you guys will figure it out eventually. Not like I can do anything about it when it’s a bug in the game. Goodluck brotha.

This issue is not caused by a bug in the game; it is caused by the NVIDIA app. The app “optimizes” the game by adjusting settings based on what it determines is best for your hardware. Disable game optimization in the NVIDIA app, and I would also recommend hiding the Minecraft app within it.
