It is currently not possible to log in with a Microsoft child account on Nintendo Switch. Steps to reproduce:

  • Start Minecraft on Nintendo Switch in Version 1.21.124

  • Click on “Login with Microsoft Account” on home screen

  • Follow the link and login with adult’s account

  • OK: Works as expected, login succeeds.

  • Go to profile, click three dots, click “Logout”

  • Click on “Login with Microsoft Account” on home screen

  • Follow the link and login with child account

  • NOK: Login on Switch fails with error code “Drowned”

Please see the linked MCPE-120083 report for suggestions.

Unfortunately no solution in MCPE-120083. Neither the patch from MCPE-230429 has worked as it seems.

I am also having this problem with my kids account.

We also have two child accounts that are still unable to sign in on the Nintendo Switch Bedrock Edition. I just tried again and we are still getting the “drowned” error code. My adult account signs in fine. Thanks!

This problem has still not been fixed. My kids have not been able to sign on with their Nintendo Switches for months. It seems like this has been resolved for other platforms, please fix it for the Switch.
