Since the recent versions of Minecraft Bedrock that transitioned to GDK, the game no longer feels smooth. Although the FPS counter shows around 240 FPS (with Nvidia Overlay & 3rd party clients), the gameplay does not feel fluid at all on my 240 Hz monitor. It feels noticeably less smooth than before the GDK update.
I have already tried several settings, including:
Enabling/disabling VSync
Enabling/disabling G-Sync
Setting different FPS caps
Various graphics settings
None of these made any differenceβthe gameplay still feels inconsistent and not as responsive as it should at high refresh rates it feels almost like it is capped at 120fps.
Additional Notes:
Before the switch to GDK, the game was perfectly smooth at high refresh rates. Also I added a recording of my game with an fps overlay ingame, recorded with 240fps, if you slow it down you can see constant micro stuttering even with my fps 1% lows not dropping that hard. Note that i unfortunately had to compress the video hard to upload it here sorry for it being so short and having low quality π₯². Fullscreen feels significantly less smooth than windowed too.
