Wildflowers cannot make bee nests grow from birch trees

From my testing of growing many birch trees, at least 50 but most likely plenty more, not one bee hive has grown. The only times bee hives have grown is if there was a normal flower nearby.

Steps to Reproduce (from comments):

  1. Open any world.

    • (For quicker reproduction, an attached world is available that uses repeating command blocks to automatically replace the birch logs, birch leaves, and birch sapling after each attempt.)

  2. Obtain a Birch Sapling, Wildflowers, and Bone Meal.

  3. Place the birch sapling, then place wildflowers adjacent to it.

  4. Apply bone meal to the birch sapling.

  5. Repeat the process several times.

Observed Results:
A Bee Nest never generates in the birch tree when wildflowers are used.

Expected Results:
When wildflowers are placed next to a birch sapling, the grown birch tree should have a chance to generate with a Bee Nest, consistent with the behavior of other flowers.

I have observed this as well. I tried to grow maybe 50 oak and 50 birch trees with the yellow wildflowers and no successful bees nest spawning.

Thank you for proving it is broken, does this apply to pink petals?

Pink Petals are not affected. @Freccjjbb, unlike birch trees, oak trees do not require a nearby flower to generate with a Bee Nest, so this was simply a case of unlucky RNG.

See MCPE-155833, where the oak tree issue is tracked.
