New game update "Minecraft for Windows" made mouse not work anymore

After recent updates, I have not been able to use my mouse at all. I have gone through all the recommended fixes and nothing works. Upon further research I found that I am not the only one with this issue. Multiple people online have said they haven’t been able to use their mouse recently with the new updates. I used to play Minecraft regularly and ever since it’s changed to “Minecraft for Windows” my mouse does not work. Every time I open the game I can only use my keyboard. I can’t even move my mouse over a button for it to highlight the button because it does nothing.
