Elizabeth, did this ever work for you? I have tried as well and have gotten the exact same results as you, I open it but when I click it and try to run it nothing happens and it immediately closes. I have gone through literally everything recommended to do online and nothing has fixed it. It’s so frustrating, it’s been so long and no one has fixed this. You’d think they would have done something by now since it all started when they changed it to “Minecraft for Windows”
