Vines Replace Trunk Blocks on Large Jungle Trees

In Bedrock Edition version 26.10.23, vines are generating inside the trunk blocks of large jungle trees, replacing them instead of attaching to their surfaces. This behavior suggests a feature generation issue, possibly related to recent changes in canopy_decoration placement order or a failure to exclude trunk blocks from vine decoration passes.

How to Reproduce:

  1. Locate a jungle biome in Bedrock Edition 26.10.23.

  2. Find a naturally generated large jungle tree.

  3. Observe the trunk area where vines are present.

  4. Alternatively, plant a 2×2 jungle tree and force-grow it using bone meal.

  5. Check the trunk after the tree has fully grown.

Observed Result:
Vines generate inside the trunk space, causing the wood blocks to be absent in those positions. This results in incomplete or “eaten” trunk sections both in naturally generated trees and player-grown ones.

Expected Result:
Vines should generate on the surface of trunk blocks without replacing them. The trunk should remain intact and continuous.
