Copper Golem Doesn't Move

Copper golems don’t move even if there's 2 blocks of space to walk, our build has 1 copper chest 4 normal chests that are filled and 1 empty chest over a hopper, they sometimes get stuck having an item in hand, they don't walk towards neither the copper chest (when they don't have an item equipped) nor the empty chest over the hopper (when they have an item in hand), they’re stuck in a loop checking the chests they have immediate access to without moving an inch.

We also have a dispenser system that wakes them up, as they take an item from the copper chest they check the boxes and put the item in the empty box, but sometimes they take the item from the copper chest, check the filled boxes, but stay still and don't put the item in the empty chest.

pls help my gf and i worked so hard only for the copper golems to be broken
