On Nintendo Switch, each user account is stated to have a storage limit of 2.0 GB. This is indicated both by the Marketplace “Not Enough Space” pop-up and in the 1.20.60 changelog:
“Not enough storage space on Nintendo Switch now has a clearer message about the platform only allowing for 2GB of storage per user account.”
However, the actual limit appears to be 1.7 GB rather than 2.0 GB. This results in less usable storage than expected.
Steps to Reproduce:
Open the game on a Nintendo Switch console.
Download Marketplace content until the user account storage reaches approximately 1.7 GB (large world templates can be used to reach this quickly).
Attempt to download additional Marketplace content that would not exceed 2.0 GB total storage.
Expected Result:
The user should be able to use up to the full 2.0 GB of storage as stated, or the message should be updated to reflect the actual limit of approximately 1.7 GB.
Actual Result:
A “Not Enough Space” message appears once storage reaches around 1.7 GB, stating that only 2.0 GB of storage is allowed.
