Noxious gas particle is emissive in simple and fancy graphics modes

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Set graphics mode to Simple or Fancy

2. Find or place a potent sulfur block underwater

3. Observe the particles in the dark

Observed Results:
The particles are always at max brightness, similar to glow squid particles.

Expected Results:
The particles are as bright as the environment.
