[MCPE-239281] Graphical problems on One UI 8.5

This is actually on 26.20. I just updated my Device, Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, onto One UI 8.5, and when I logged into Minecraft… well, the images will share better than I can…

I am making you all aware now. I am going to find some way to reach out to Samsung about this issue too.

If so, does this issue still occur in a new world without any addons?

I have Integrated Storage, Elevator Addon, Conveyor Tube, Nasa Cat Armor, Tinker’s Construct, Element Bending, Weapons Add-on, Combine Ores, SecurityCraft, and Quick Craft.

Although, I did also test it in a blank world, and the chest issue doesn't happen but the inventory is still broken.

And I don't have any other add-ons in the home screen, so the home screen issue isn't affected by a mod.

This issue seems likely flickers blocks, UI has a transparent flickers and items are disappears, Possibly duplicate of MCPE-236703

The only difference between MCPE-236703 and this one seems to be that this issue only happened after a specific Samsung Firmware update, while that one doesn't have that same issue as they aren't on Samsung. On top of that, the error they say doesn't happen to me. Mine is mostly UI and block flickering with non 16x16x16 blocks.

Update: I found MB Loader. It is a temporary work around for now. My guess? The update corrupted stuff. I don't really know.

I've also got this issue as of 6/1/26 after update to Android 16 OneUI 8.5 on Samsung S23FE. I have turned off or lowered most rendering settings, cleared cache, ran optimization for all apps through app booster/game booster, and went into developer options to change the graphics driver from "default” to “systems graphics driver” with no change. Before this, the first issues were textures like grass, composters, trap doors, and doors were glitching, then after pausing the game, clicking on any button would render the UI invisible and leave the Minecraft background on pause. Now the new issue is on main home screen after clicking any button (e.g. “Play”, “Settings”, “Marketplace”, or “Dressing Room”) the UI completely disappears and I am left with the Minecraft background. Now I am left with a game that I cannot even play.

I am experiencing the exact same issue reported here. Immediately after updating my Samsung Galaxy F55 5G to One UI 8.5, the game's rendering engine broke completely.

The ground mesh is almost entirely invisible, causing a massive x-ray glitch where I can see straight through to the void below. Solid blocks, leaves, and structures are rendering in incomplete, floating chunks, accompanied by severe shadow flickering.

I have already tried the standard troubleshooting steps: I disabled all texture packs and completely reinstalled the game, but the issue persists. This is a critical visual bug that makes the game unplayable. I have an image reference

showing the exact same transparent terrain and broken blocks if the development team needs further evidence from another device. Please look into patching this compatibility issue with the new One UI 8.5 drivers.

I did use a work around by using a launcher available in Google Play: MB Loader. However, I don't like using workarounds forever. I know this happened after the Samsung One UI 8.5 Update, that much I know. It works better than the official launcher under MB Loader…

I just want to say to anyone reading this, this is not Mojangs fault and they cant do much due to Samsungs updates, Samsung itself has to do something likely. Mojang cant do much without crashing the game for most who play through Android!! I do hope they fix this soon somehow, but its a tough situation!!
