trident slips through corner gap between top of mud and full block after killing a creature

How to reproduce:

create a world

Place a piston facing sideways. When activated, position mud below the piston head and glass in front of it. Shoot a trident onto the mud, then place soul sand three blocks directly below the glass. Fill the space between the soul sand and the glass completely with water to form a bubble column. Surround the bubble column entirely with glass.Inside the bubble column, spawn a wither skeleton using a monster egg.Activate the piston with lever several times.

Expected results:

The wither skeleton is killed, and the trident should still be on the upper surface of the mud.

Actual result:

The moment the wither skeleton is killed, the trident cross the glass in front of the piston, fall into the bubble column and stick to the side of the mud.
