In the arrow bounce off target changes introduced in version 26.40.26, the rebound behavior has been given too high a priority. When a potion-tipped arrow (e.g., Arrow of Harming II) hits an Iron Golem, the arrow deals damage to the golem and then rebounds off it. This is inconsistent with the expected behavior, where potion arrows should break and disappear upon impact rather than rebounding.
How to Reproduce:
Obtain a bow and Arrows of Harming II.
Locate or summon an Iron Golem.
Shoot the Iron Golem with the potion-tipped arrow.
Observe the arrow's behavior after impact.
Observed Result:
The arrow damages the Iron Golem and then rebounds off it, remaining intact as a dropped item that can be picked up.
Expected Result:
The arrow should damage the Iron Golem and then break/disappear without rebounding (unless it would kill the golem in a single shot), matching the behavior from previous versions.
