The Pocket UI Crafting Grid Only Allows 2x2 Crafting Patterns

Summary:
When using the Pocket UI profile, the 3x3 crafting grid only works for 2x2 crafting patterns.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Using the Pocket UI profile, open the creative inventory, and choose the crafting tab

2. Place wooden planks in the pattern to make stairs

3. Now place the planks in a 2x2 section to make a crafting table

Observed Results:
Any crafting that requires a 3x3 grid cannot be made, only items that can be made in the 2x2 grid.

Expected Results:
The 3x3 grid should function in the same way a crafting table does.

Original Description:

In pocket ui creative there is a result box for the crafting grid where it shows how to craft things when you select them. However when you place things in this grid you can only make things that would fit in a 2 x 2 grid and it just feels wrong. It isn't like this in the classic ui, there there is no result box so the inventory crafting grid isn't usable in that wierd way and instead you can just see how to craft things. (This is in the inventory specifically not a crafting table.) Phone is galaxy s7.
